Cheapest/Best way to book.

Hi,

We are currently planning a trip to DLRP next June and wondered if the way we have always booked in the past is the best.
We have always booked via a travel agent using the official Disneyland Paris brochure. The majority of times we have booked a complete package including the Eurostar, however on our honeymoon in 2004 we had to book the Eurostar direct as Disney had run out of seats! This was no problem as we were staying at the Disneyland Hotel so didn't mind going there to collect our tickets and drop off our cases.
This time we are staying at the Seqouia Lodge (Have already been to Disneyland Hotel, Newport Bay and Santa Fe, trying to get round all of them!). Therefore trying to weigh up if the cheaper direct Eurostar price if we get in early enough will make up for the fact we will have to travel to the hotel before we can enter the park and collect our suitcases before going home. Also is there a cheaper route or one with added benefits that we have missed? I know you can book via telephone but i've heard you have to pay the full amount at the time of booking instead of just a deposit. If you book online i'm not sure if this is the same but i can't see how you can add any options like Buffallo Bill's show?

Any help appreciated in getting the best deal for us.

I've always found booking direct with Disney the cheapest. I always do it online via Quidco for cashback and then if I want any extras phone up later on.

I can't comment on the Eurostar as coming from Scotland we have to fly really, but from what I've read on here I would say it would probably be cheaper to book direct with them as well and then just hop on the bus to the hotel when you get out the station.

Hi, I booked direct with Disney and paid a 10% deposit. I know it's only a minor saving, but I also declined their standard insurance (£52) and got my own for a tenner. If you book through Quidco, you get 6.5% cashback but I think you pay the full amount. I wouldn't bother with a travel agent as they just phone Disney direct and you can do that yourself!

I booked up a 3 night stay for March quite recently, did a lot of shopping around and Disney direct was by far the cheapest.

Plus the 6.5% quidco too made it even better! :)

We have booked both directly with Disney and with travel agents. The cheapest used to be directly with Disney but recently they have been beaten by Co-Op travel. They managed to knock £30 off the price of our trip in a few weeks time and also managed to do the same for our in-laws.

My understanding is that if you book with Disney online then you have to pay in full whereas if you book by telephone then you only pay 10% deposit and the rest later, I think it's 60 days before travel. If you decide to book your Eurostar tickets directly then you can pay extra with Disney to add the Disney Express service where they will take your cases to/from your hotel ~ there's info in The Very Useful Info sticky on this.

Alternatively there are large lockers at the train station which you could use on departure day which would save going back to your hotel.
