OK, I know I'm spoiled. We just got back from a WDW Trip that we paid $180/per person *round trip* for Air from SFO to MCO. Now I'm looking at Air for a trip with just me & my little girl during spring break (March 28 - 4/4/10). OUCH!! Prices are now twice that.

So, when should I start looking for air fare? What should I expect to pay at spring break? I'm thinking I should be able to get RT tix for $250-ish.

Any suggestions?

Don't know. :confused3 I was able to buy tickets on SW from SFO to MCO for $89 each way for a trip in late January for my dh and I. I'm not thrilled about flying SW across the country but its okay for just dh and I.
But we are also going in Nov with the whole family and I'm hoping for decent airfare. The return flight has me worried since we are coming home on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Which airline did you get for $180 rt?

We got the 180/RT amount on Southwest (by way of my favorite site, Airfare Watch Dog)

Typically, I buy for spring break the day tickets are released and I've never seen them go down. Last year, however, we weren't going to travel as airfare was so high. About 7 weeks prior to spring break there were some sales and I was able to get reasonable tickets ($74/pp on the way down and $79/pp on the way back). I didn't get choice days or times (we flew down on Sunday and our flight left at 5:30 a.m. and back on Friday and the flight left at 7:30 pm), but the price was great.

Bump...

Anyone have any advice about when to book & what I should be paying?
