So my sweet best freind's neighbor gave me his bed set. It has a huge dresser and a bed. Well, Its not a full sized bed, Its a queen. So I need new flannel sheets (and some nice summer sheets too). Where do I find them at a college students price?

Target had some really nice flannel sheets on clearance yesterday. I think they even had some higher thread count sheets and comforters on clearance as well (as much as 75% off). I would try there first.

I use Big Lots. I have bought king flannel sheets there. Walmart has some to I think.....

We get ours at JCPenneys. They are oh so comfy.... I love flannel sheets. We use them year round.

I second Big Lots. I also buy them at Target (clearance), and Overstock.com

Target is at 50% and they usually have some left when they go to 75% I've gotten some great deals, especially on flannel. DD's were $4.74 for a twin (Nick & Nora with flamingos to match her PJs) My sister loved them and bought a set in double for herself.

We have fleece sheets which I like even more than flannel (and they don't produce nearly as much lint in the dryer). We got ours at Costco but I think Bed, Bath and Beyond has them too.

Target clearence is great for sheet sets. But usually with flannel, you can usually get them to stretch over a queen. It's worth a try, especially if they have deep pockets.

If there's a Tuesday Morning nearby, that's a good place to go. Also Ross, Marshall's and TJ Maxx.

Swing by your local walmarts and see what they have on clearance. I bought two sets of flannel (queen) last year for $17 each and typically get normal sets (280 thread count) for $15 but the catch you must get them on clearance. The full price for sheets is outrageous! Good luck.

Kohl's always has sheets on sale. Check out their website too. Flannel sheets should be fairly cheap now.

For summer sheets: Big Lots microfiber sheets. They are SOOOO soft and light. The two sets I rotate on my bed are 400TC, but when I tuck my son in his bed, I'm always wishing I had his super soft sheets (they just don't come in white for some reason or I would have them on my bed).

I bought flannel sheets at Target for full price or sale price for $19.99 for any size set. I got a set for DSs queen bed and our king.:thumbsup2

I would agree with all the above but I would suggest getting a King size if you have a thick matress. They don't pull off like Queen size. Marshalls usually has them from $29- $50.

I like flannel sheets, wifey doesn't so guess who wins on that? But I do draw the line on cheap sheets, cheap being 200-250 thread count that feels like you're sleeping on burlap. I buy 400 thread count sheets, they are a good compromise between price and comfort. You can get them on sale at Kohls all the time.

I second tjmaxx/marshalls/home goods. I found dd a set of Pine Cone Hill sheets which are normally pricey.

I would like to post this for the world to see. DO NOT ever buy sheets from the street vendors in NYC!!! They are gorgeous, they feel wonderful, come in great colors, and they are cheap. 30.00/queen sized set, and some are bogo 2/30.00. We bought from the BOGO guy in front of St. Pat's Cathedral. Anyway, got them on the bed, felt great for a week, and then fell apart in the washing machine. So, although 15.00/queen set is cheap, they were actually the most expensive. We had to throw them away. I'm afraid to use the next set.

I have summer sheets, due to the fact I wanted brown sheets last summer and could only find Queen sized ones at savers, so summer is covered. Right now I got a full sized sheet tossed on the bed over the double matress pads (that somehow fit!). Thanks for all the advice. Im waiting on pay day.
