cheap, safe hotel for one night before Pop??

We are thinking about driving down in March and hope to stay at Pop for one week. The way we have it planned out, we would get into Orlando as late as 10PM. Can anyone recommend a safe, cheap($100 or less) hotel to stay at close to Disney for one night prior to checking into Pop??

We stayed at COuntry Inn Lake Buena vista in May 08 for a little over $100 and it was right next to downtown disney. I have read alot about the Hampton inn Lake buena vista too, that seems to get good reviews.

If you are willing to spend 100 I would go ahead and spend whatever it is to stay at POP that first night. Check in is a breeze that time of night and you can get yourself organized in your rooms and be ready to head out the next morning.

We stayed at Magic Castle Inn ( https://www.themagiccastleinn.com/ )for a few nights in October & I was pleasantly surprised. (It wasn't the Ritz, but I knew that when I was making the reservation.) I think we paid $34/night & that included a mini-fridge, microwave, & continental breakfast in the morning. It was in a safe area & we felt very safe in the hotel the entire time. Plus, the hotel staff was really helpful & nice. The drive to Disney was only about 5-10 minutes. If we ever plan to stay off-site again, I'm sure we'll go back there.

Honestly, I would just book a room at POP for the extra night. It'll be 100.00 or less usually and you would be right there for the next morning.

How about Buena vista suites you get free buffet breakfast too .

You can usually find a deal on the DIS for the Radisson Resort-Celebration. The hotel is very close to WDW property, I-4, and Hwy 192. The rooms are nice, and the pool is great. The price on the DIS special usually runs $79- $99/night, depending on the season.

We stayed at the Radisson for 1 night last fall and really liked it- clean, convenient, and a really good value.
