I just pre-ordered the new wifi kindle and the price was great but the COVERS!!!! Crazy to pay half as much as the Kindle cost. Is there anyplace to get a good cheap cover? The ones on Amazon are $50+!

M-Edge is a very popular supplier of covers for e-readers and ipads.

I just tried M-edge dot com and got a Marketing page and the store had books in it....wrong place?

Try the link someone posted - medgestore.com.

I have M Edge leather covers for all my Kindle and iPad products and I love them. I think it's well worth it to invest in a nice sturdy cover - even though the price seems high when compared to the new lower cost of your Kindle, it's still a bargain compared to cracking your screen!

I purchased mine on Etsy very inexpensive, and I was able to customize...

If you're looking for something lower cost you might want to hold off for a couple of weeks. Most of the 3rd party suppliers won't be selling a cover for the K3 until after release of the K3 because they need to get a K3 in their hands in order to design the covers. From what I understand the K2 covers aren't going to work well for the K3 because the of the change in dimension.

Until then, a padded mailing envelope works great at keeping a Kindle safe in your purse.

Thanks everyone! I have plenty of options now and a month to make up my mind!

I agree with all of that! And bubble wrap envelopes are the Kindle testers' Kindle-protection of choice as they wait. ;)
