Cheap January trip

I am making a fast (really cheap) trip to disneyland on the end of January. this is a first trip in a long time and I need a suggestion for finding inexpensive hotels, also need an idea of what is a good price to pay for that time of the year. thanks!

I stayed in the Anaheim are for 6 weeks a couple years ago during a job change relocation and the best price I found was about $43 a night at the Extended Stay America, about 1-2 miles from the park (a short walk). Each room had 2 beds (queens I think), a medium sized fridge, a 2-burner range top and a microwave + cookware and place settings for 2. This would allow you to eat breakfast in the room and have a place to store leftovers, etc.

I've been checking jan. prices and they seem high. I expect they will come down in the next month or so.. but I'm looking at airfare also.
