Hey All - long time since I posted!

Just a quick question. Looking at booking for my birthday and graduation present to myself for August 2013 and struggling to find a cheaper price. Only looking at Santa Fe to keep cost down and think about 12/8/13 - 16/8/13 ish dates but can only get £3000 for 5 which is a bit much :worried:

Any tips to lower costs... ???

oh yes, loads of tips :).

first of all, are you 2 adults and 3 children? how old are your children?
Do you have to stay onsite, or would very nearby do? Depending on the ages of your children, there may be much better options than booking you all in on a DLP package.

Book your travel separately, not through Disney.

Wait for a decent discount offer (i really think its too early for DLP to have good summer 2013 offers yet, i'm expecting another Jan-March offer to come out before they start discounting the summer dates).

Thanks so far...

not really children haha 4 adults and a 16 year old

okay, so if you want to stay onsite you'll need 2 rooms or one family room if its available - but you don't have to book all 5 of you in with park tickets included. You could book one adult into each room with park tickets, then get annual passes for 3 of you (depending on the dates of your trip, you wouldn't need Dream Passes, Fantasy passes would be fine, just check the blockout dates). This might work out a lot cheaper for summer dates, compared with booking all 5 of you in on a package with tickets included. Then you would add the 3 extra guests to the rooms when you check in, theres no extra charge for this apart from possibly around 2 euros per night per person for local taxes. Everyone gets breakfast included, entry to EMH, etc etc, because you're all staying onsite.

Have a look at DLRPMagic for annual pass information and blockout dates etc, and cemultiavantages/promoparcs for discounted annual pass prices (although its a little early to buy them yet).

eta - the 2nights free offer for next summer, for your dates, gives you a price of £639 per room for the Santa Fe (family room is not showing as available), if you book one adult in.
