Cheap Hotels

I saw a lot of cheap hotels at the website hotels.com that were near Disney World. The price range was from $30/night to $50/night. Has anyone had good experiences at these cheaper hotels? I was leaning toward the Best Western Lakeside for $52/night. But I was wondering if I would be just as well off in a $35/night place.

We will be there for 3 nights and we have 3 small kids. But we don't plan to spend a lot of time at the hotel. Just a comfortable place to sleep and eat breakfast.

Any thoughts?

We have stayed at the Quality Inn Maingate West before it changed it's name. It has a breakfast and was always clean. It is called something else now but it is very close to Animal Kingdom. The website is still qualityinnorlando.com Good luck~:)

That looks like a pretty good deal. It is $31/night on Hotels.com if you search for Continental Plaza in Kissimmee.

if you need lodging for free in the future at very nice hotels, check out the starwood credit card. i have saved thousands of dollars on lodging with the points earned.

I have stayed at the Continental Plaza Hotel several times.

It meets the need at 25-35 dollars but don't expect anything outstanding.

My rooms have been reasonably clean with good AC and a TV that works.

I brought our own cooler and did our own milk and cereal each morning. Reviews of their breakfast say that it stunk.

We have our own car so the location is great. We used Sherberth (sp?) road to access WDW. It was easy.

They have a pool but we never used it.

If all you are going to do it come "home" in the evening, take a shower and go to bed, then it will be fine.

Does "we have 3 small kids" mean that there will be 4 or 5 of you in the room?

I would not let anyone sleep on the floor or an air mattress at this hotel.....or any hotel for that matter.

Now...................if all 3 kids can sleep in a double bed--then you are all set.

I hope this helps.

Make sure you ask in advance for all costs. Often now when u make a res online somewhere they tell u in the fine print that there could be added charges at the hotel that the online service has "no control over" So sad!
