Hey everybody. I am looking for a cheap but clean hotel to stay in for 1 night prior to my 7 day stay at the Embassy Grand Beach. I would like for it to be close in proximity to EGB. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also want to say a big thank you to everyone who regularly visits and posts on this board. Last year my dh and I were able to take our 4yo daughter to Disney for the best vacation ever due to many of the suggestions and advice I gleaned from these boards. We stayed at the Vistana (Lakes) for 7 days and absolutely LOVED it! Saved us a lot of money in lodging (SkyAuction), in food, and some in laundry services. My daughter loved the "dive in theater" on Thursday night. It was like a home away from home. We then stayed 1 night at the AK lodge (intended to stay 2 but got chased out by the hurricane.) Initially I was more excited about the AK lodge portion of our visit. But the spaciousness of the Vistana really spoiled me. It was very hard to put my daughter to bed and try to lay there and be quiet! My dh and I were very uncomfortable that evening. We were NOT ready to call it a night when it was time to put the wee one down.
Anyway, won a 3bed, 3bath condo at Embassy Grand Beach for 7 nights in Nov. and our daughter's best friend and family are going with us this time. We would like to arrive one day early and stay in a cheap and clean hotel in close proximity to the EGB. I was thinking something like $40-65. Thanks again to all of you!
