I am posting on behalf of my friend, who is French.

He is a university student and wants to visit some friends in Oslo for the weekend from August 5th to August 7th.

However, he has told me he only wants to spend up to €180. I have been on nearly every single airline website that does this route, only to see that the flights are ridiculous prices of €800 or more.

He is becoming desperate as not many airlines operate this route.

I found a train that goes from Brussels to Amsterdam. From Amsterdam there is a train to Copenhagen, and lastly a train to Oslo. I can't seem to find much information on this but I really want to help my friend to see his friends. They don't have much money so they can't visit him.

Any help is appreciated.

if you google Cottage rental Ontario you will come up with lots of sites. We've used cottagelink.com, Tyler's cottage directory with success.
We have a cottage booked near Tobermory for the week of August 8th - can't wait!!

We were just in Tobermory this weekend......we go up there several times each year, we love it! Enjoy it!

"Can somebody advise good website for searching Ontario cottage rentals? We want to book one week during summer."

"There are two types of websites out there: cottage rental agencies (e.g. Red Stone rentals, WRD Cottages) and websites that just provide listing services. The best one is FindCottage.ca since it has great interface and many cottages. You can also try homeaway.com (not too many ontario listings) or clrm.ca (interface is not that great).
In Ontario during summer it is advised to search for full weeks rentals and most of them are rented from Saturday to Saturday.
Hope this helps."

Barefootlodge Bayview Guest House is great they are in Rondeu Ontario. Beautiful lake and the provincial park is right there. Great if you like biking and walking the nature trails! :thumbsup2

If you're looking more for a 'resorty' kind of cottage, we really enjoy Delawana in Honey Harbour. Lots of activities for the kids and mom & dad can relax as well while they are in their camps. (Kind of like a Disney cruise mixed in with the resort from Dirty Dancing but not quite as 'classy')
