My parents live in BC so I fly this route at least once a year. Sometimes the prices come down after the next closest travel season, ie: right now they are still focused on March break and Easter travel, so wait a month or two and check the prices again. In the high summer season it's usually around $650+, but if you check Air Canada's website they sometimes have cheaper prices for their tango fare class. But they do it at odd times of the night, like 1am, and it will be gone by the morning. Two years ago I found flights that way over the August long weekend, and they were only $189 each way. Quite a good deal, for AC. But it will still cost around $500, give or take, even with a sale price. Sometimes the charter airlines are much better, if you are flexible with your dates. Good luck!
