Cheap flights from T.O.

We have driven to Florida the last 2 years because flying didn't seem to be an option. But I can't beleive the price you got for 6 people! We are a family of 6 as well. Could you please tell me what SWA stands for so I can check out their website and if possible a link would be great!! ;) Never thought of flying out of Buffalo before, what a great idea! Not a far drive compared to driving to Orlando!!! :teeth:

How embarassing... I hadn't read 2nd page before posting. I assume SWA is Southwest air..... I have never booked flights before or even researched it so a link to this site would still be appreciated, Thanks! :goodvibes

No problem sherE810 - we are this sight to inform and be informed! I was like a kid the night before christmas when I got my great fares from SWA, I was so excited! The 3 hours it took to drive to Buffalo was a whole lot better than 24 hours!

So check out there website and keep an on the fares - they go up and down but if you book and the prices go down, they will credit you the difference.

All Three of these airlines are fine but Southwest has two non-stop flights a day to Orlando. JetBlue has awesome service (your own satellite TVin the seat back!) but you have to connect in JFK. AirTran is the old ValuJet aircraft and I am a little leary of them, however I have had several friends fly with them and they were satisfied.

AirTran has not been operating as ValuJet since like 97 or 98. I've flown them several times to Orlando no problem. I was plugging in our May dates and Air Tran seemed to be cheaper than SW. $79 each each way.

While planning our April 2005 trip, I came across the Vacations arm of Southwest Airlines at http://www.swavacations.com - a flight and car package was CHEAPER for the 3 of us then just buying flights. Example:

April 2005 prices Buffalo - Orlando: Fun Fares - US$ 116 per person per way
(This is the lowest fare for April)

Package price breakdown - round-trip: US$ 169 / adult, $144 / child
Mid-size car from Alamo: US$ 163 for the week

Yes, this is for the EXACT same (non-stop) flights, basically for the 3 of us we got a free week's rental car AND saved $. US$ 697.20 for the "package" instead of US$ 748.20 for the flights only.

dsney girl: I am wondering what website you found such great airfare on for May. I am travelling the first week of May and would love to get airfare that cheap too.
Also I was wondering with swa if you book now at a certain price and they go on sale are you credited the money back or are you credited for other travel with them. I am not sure I would use the later within the year deadline
thanks for all the answers
Diane

I agree with everyone else.. SOUTHWEST! just got back yesterday.. $75 return per person can not be beat!

Can somoene put a link to this price I would love to get it.
thanks Diane

How far inadvance did you book for the 75.00 fare for you to go? If I book now at a high rate but notice the price changes will they credit my mastercard the difference?? I can only find 116.00 each way am I doing something wrong . Please help I really want to travel out of southwest in Buffalo too
thanks Diane

We too flew for $75. We booked the beginning of December for our flight in the end of January. If you book now and the price drops YES they will credit you the difference, either to your credit card or it can stay with SWA for a future flight within a year from booking.

I booked right away and then they had a seat sale.. it was 26.98 each way.. and then taxes made it 75.. yes if you book then the price drops you can get the money back as long as you stay on the same flight, it was a great way to get there!

I dont know because this is the first time that I would be flyng out of Buffalo but is this common to have a low price 75 return. I am looking to book for May and I dont know whether to book now which would be 900.00 for 3 return. I still save 300.00 so I shouldnt complain right compared to flying out of Canada.
thanks for all your answers and thanks for your patience with my stupid questions.

We're going May 1-8 and I found AirTran for $79 each way. It helps though if you are flexible with your dates.

Go directly to www.airtran.com or www.southwest.com.

Also I ALWAYS tell people to sign up for the online alerts. You'll get the specials emailed right to you every week!
