Hi there

We’re off to WDW in November and haven’t yet bought our tickets.

As we’re straddling 10 nights in Orlando with 7 nights on the coast we’re either looking for the 7 day premium ticket or the 21 day ultimate.

I was just wondering if anyone had experience of purchasing cheap tickets through UK travel agents.

I was thinking that offers may appear towards the end of the summer as now the ultimate/ premium tickets expire within the year, if travel agents buy these tickets then they’ll have to offload them at some point, right?:confused3

We’ve checked out all cheap sites mentioned on Dis and to be fair, they would only save us about £40 per person and that’s only for the 7 day base ticket (no park hopper, water parks etc).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Not sure but doubt travel agents have to pay upfront for Disney tickets, they will only acitvate them when someone has purchased them surely:confused3
I have never seen big discounts on Disney tickets because they need to offload. Maybe someone that works in the travel industry will know.

I would of thought they will only order the tickets when the customer pays for them.

That's what I was afraid of it's just that in the past I have seen offers on travel agents' windows etc - oh well i'll just have to keep a look out just in case!:sad2:

On the same lines, has anyone had any experience of bartering down the price of tickets - we want 3 adult tix and we will also want some dollars so was thinking I may try and bargain with them?

Best thing to do is decide which tickets you want, find the best price you can on the net then call in a few travel agents, take printout and see if they will price match. If not just order from best price you find on the net and have them delivered, you have plenty of time.
Doubt you have much bargaining power with 3 tickets, would think they are only on a small percentage profit on Disney tickets. It just won't be worth them selling them to you.
Personally never found a travel agent that can beat web prices.

as a travel agent I can tell you you won't get cheaper than places like attractionticketsdirect. travel agents do not stock the tickets, they order them from companies like seligo/keith prowse

I got 14 day tickets for £165 from Thomsons travel agent in January. They were usually £183 but they offered a discount

I found travel agents around here charged around £165-£170ish never seen them as low as they are on the net, around £152.
