Cheap Disney Pins

Last trip I was able to purchase a lot of pins before our trip on clearance at the Disney store. Since they no longer carry them is there anyplace besides cheappins to get them cheaply. We really don't need the 100 pin pack they have and I guess I'm spoiled for getting them soo cheaply before. Do they have them at the outlet for around $1?? I really would hate to spend $7-8 a pin when he really just likes trading.

There is a company in California called "AMS Character Warehouse" which seems to have an in to buy lots of DLR merchandise for pennies on the dollar. They will then open up a location for about 4-6 weeks with prices from 20% to 90% discounts. I know they would show up within 100 miles of Washington DC about 3 times per year. I think that their agreement keeps them out of Florida and California, so Illinois should be OK.

Someone else on this forum might be able to provide further information, or they can be tracked down via a search engine. If you contact them you will be able to find out when and where they will be setting up. They will also have a mailing list to nitify people within about 100 miles.

About a year ago we bought over 50 DCA $6.50 pins for 65¢ each plus tax.

We got a bunch at Cheappins.com either that or cheapins.com. I can't remeber. You had to buy the grab bag to get the great price, however! Good luck,

I looked again at cheappins.com and now it looks like the smallest grab bag they have is 200 pins - that's WAY too many. Does anyone know if they'll bring back the 100 pins??

I would love to know too as just a few weeks ago when leaving our resort we had a last minute breakfast at Chef Mickey's and I left DD's pin lanyard hanging on the back of my chair and someone instead of turning it in stole it!

My DD is heartbroken and there are pins there I don't know we will ever be able to replace

How are you finding the grab bags on cheap pins?

When you go to cheappins.com and click on Disney there are 2 Hot Deals listed. They are an assortment (or my words grab bag) of trader pins and you get a pin carry case. I believe they are for 200 or 300 pins but it says you WILL get duplicates - that's why they are ideal for trading.

There is currently a AMC Character Outlet with a fairly significant number of pins on sale at the new St. Louis Mills Outlet mall in St. Louis.

It is located on Highway 370 (north off of 270).

They will be open until January 25th.

My DH has been twice to buy pins for our trip to DL in February.

We paid as little as $0.60 for some pins.

I live in So. Illinois and have been considering options on how to get some inexpensive pins for trading. My DD who'll be turning 9 just loves doing this! I can't wait to go and see this new mall also!

Thanks disneyeveryyear it's actually a LONG drive for us but I have an aunt who lives near there and she's more than willing to check out the new mall for us. YEAH!! Just got off the phone with her and I now have one less thing to worry about.

I bought a grab bag from mouseshoppe.com of 10 pins that ranged from $6-8 each for $30. There werent many I wanted to keep (maybe 1) but I bought them for my daughter to trade for others anyway. They have special "pin" shipping that is really inexpensive (~$2)

My BIL is really into the pins. My sister would also buy him tons of pins, on clearance, at the DS before they would leave, then he would trade them. I had mentioned to her that disney deals (through ebay) has pins. They sell a lot of sets that you can break up, fairly cheaply. She had shown him the site and they already ordered a bunch for their pending trip in Oct.

I would keep checking the cheappins website as they seem to offer the 13 pin pack for $25 and some change every so often. I did package up 12 pins for less than $2 each at the beginning of December by going through their site and choosing the cheapest pins I could find. I checked back 2 weeks later and the 13 pin pack was available to purchase so I got one of those too.
