We are arriving late ( 9pm) Wed in Sept 2007 and our AL STAR MUSIC reservation does not start until Thursday. I am looking for an economical but clean motel / hotel located about 5-8 miles near Disney Worl. Not sure what I can expect to pay ( have heard $40 - $75) and was wondering if PRICELINE was a good way to go. Any and all help apprecaited.

We are going to try Travelodge Suites Eastgate Orange. I have researched an researched this seems to be our best option for about $45 a night. With AAA it ight even be a bit cheaper. Lots of good reviews of this hotel on TripAdvisor.com also a few here on the DIS. Seems the biggest complaint is the breakfast which is prepackaged pastry type stuff not my ideal breakfast but breakfast isn't a big deal to me anyway and it's also the cheapest meal to get out.

This hotel just recently in the last year or so went thru a refurbishment new beds etc.

Sorry I can't say I've already stayed there looks like we gonna be at disney about the same time.

I did the same thing my last trip. I arrived late the first night and wanted something cheap but nice. I used priceline and bid $45 for a 3 star hotel. I ended up getting Amerisuites and it was awesome! We had a huge room and the hotel had lots of amenities like an awesome pool. It was only like 5 minutes away from Disney. I have used Priceline several times and have never been disappointed. Good luck!

check out comfort inn lake buena vista. It is usually cheap and it is right down the street from disney marketplace. They also have a free breakfast in the morning (toast, cereal, coffee, etc.) We have stayed here. Make sure you ask for a room facing parking lot if you are a light sleeper because the other side is I4.

Expedia was offering $69 for the value resorts for end of August -- don't know how long that goes. Thought I'd throw that out there.

Fairfield Inn in Lake Buena Vista has fairly clean comfortable rooms, is close to Disney, and has a free breakfast. Probably running $65-$70 or so.

Have a great trip!!!

We got Howard Johnson Maingate East on Hotwire for $30/night in January. Very basic, but clean, comfortable, and close to the parks. We'd stay there again.

I usually stay here for my 1st night before checking into WDW resorts - always had a decent stay. Rooms are worn but clean and convenient to DTD. I got it for $42 (fall special on their site) for my stay in Sept.

HTH!!! :goodvibes

Not all rooms are great at Comfort Inn, the one we got at Xmas was filthy and had a cockroach, although a lot go with no problems.

Dont know what date you want but just checked Weds 19th Alpharooms.com (a few have used on here after me finding deals) have Courtyard by marriott LBV at $67 incl tax. Check it out on tripadvisor gets 4.5/5 rating, we are going back for 25 nights next month.
They have plenty on there like Homewood suites on Idrive, $72 incl for a suite.
Hotelsrus.com have The Fairfied Inn, Marriott Village for $64 incl breakfast or BW lakeside at $51 incl
You will have no problems in that price range for a decent hotel
