Cheap airfare from Louisville, KY-does it exist?

I am only 20 minutes from the airport as well, and I think that traveling all the way up to Indy to go to MCO I might as well drive.

Now, I wouldn't go as far as saying that.

I hate the fact that we have to drive 2 hrs for decent air fares when we have a perfectly good airport right here, but, would still rather drive the 2 hrs to Indy than the 15 to WDW.

There are people going on this cruise with me who live in Philly and they got air fare for 298.00. See, that doesn't make any sense to me. They live much further away from San Juan that I do, but will fly from there for about half of what it would cost me to fly out of Louisville.

And in watching airfare since last July, I've seen decent sales out of both Indy and Cincy to San Juan (a little under 300.00, just not for my June dates, yet). Louisville--nothing less than 500.00.

It's just frustrating to me, esp with the big advertising campaign they've been doing for SDF lately.

The prices are the reason we drive. Even with gas and a car rental, we get by much cheaper. I can never find great deal at SDF.
