I'm pretty lucky to be flexible on when I take off vacation time and the kids are young, so I don't mind taking them out of school for a trip.

So, we are going to Disney for a Tues to a Tues trip at the end of October.

So surprised at AirTran's rates out of Buffalo. Our family of 4 is going for USD$660. The low cost is what actually made us want to go again after our March break trip earlier this year.

BTW, when does Southwest fares come out for March 2009?

Southwest will publish thier fares tomorrow morning,

The fares to be released today only go to March 6th. Which doesn't cover March Break (at least not in my district). I would expect the rest of the fares for March to be released at the end of Oct.

AirTran has a non-stop flight back on Sunday March 22nd for $119. Going there on March 15 is expensive though. I wonder if I should just book the flight back and hope SW is cheaper. $119 sounds pretty good for a March break flight!

That is a great deal on a March break flight. We did a last minute March vacation this year, and we did fine by traveling midweek, but flight prices on the Sunday of March Break were out of this world by the tie we booked in January.

we have booked Air tran...leaving Dec 4 - 15 for 3 of us $545 return from buffalo

April Rates are high too.

We just bought Airtran when they first released the fares for April/May and they were $72 each way , for non-stop. And that's a Sunday departure from Orlando..pretty good, I think.

It's the first for us on Airtran, and first time buying this early ahead, but the fares have already went up, and the non-stop is up to $187..:scared1:

try air tran from Rochester, direct we got 145 round trip per person. Also Delta has a trip with a connection for 145

March break '09 flight for us - March 15th to 22nd (Sunday to Sunday):

Sunwing - Cdn$2,876
AirTran - USD$1,224 (non-stop flight)

Using 0.94 exchange rate, that's still a Cdn$1,600 difference!!!

The non-stop flight out of Buffalo is at a good time so we don't need to stay over. Just can't see how we can even consider flying out of Toronto... :confused3
