Yeah, I fit the bill of "oldest", if you consider that I am the oldest female. (I'm 3rd of 4 in birth order.) My sister is definitely the baby, and behaves in many ways like the baby, but aren't they supposed to be more carefree and charming? Sunny personality ain't exactly her.
My brothers were pretty irresponsible in their youth, but the younger one cleaned up his act and became a self-supporting adult and eventually a husband and father. My other brother has never really been the responsible type, still messes around with stuff he should have ditched as a teen, and still doesn't think through the consequences before making bone-headed decisions.
I would characterize my boys as more typical in birth order. DS7 is usually very reserved, quiet and shy, and concerned with rules and fairness (like me.) DS4 is more fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants impulsive, charming, gets by on his cute factor more than he should and he plays my heartstrings like a fiddle.
Only children, like DH, are called "super first borns" because they have the traits of the firstborn child, but magnified. And I'd agree with that about DH. He's a workaholic, very direct, abides by strict rules of behavior (well, the important ones anyway...)
But he's also very charming, can schmooze when he needs to and is very good at it.

I'm so glad she has so many friends here.
