Im sweating like a pig... and its pouring. GAH.

I'm SO glad I'm not doing the Portland Race for the Cure tomorrow...UGGH the rains horrible!

Haven't we had strange weather this year? Summer seemed to never start, it was off and on hot and cold. Then it just abruptly ended. Now we're getting rain and humidity with warm air. Humidity when it's warm, what's that? Although I'm pretty sure that B. would laugh at our humidity. Suddenly our 45 degrees, rain and 100% humidity doesn't seem too bad.

Humidity and 90 degrees is awful! So glad we are past that now!
For the next several month it will be overcast and.. maybe some sun.. or maybe some rain.. and eventually followed with seemingly unending days of cold cold cold and no sun.

There is some odd stuff on local cable shows in the wee hours of the morning, creepy weird people! But it's free to use the equipment, opportunity for any loonie to have the spotlight.

Megan and I have a date next weekend. I'm driving up and going to rescue her from the munchkins. So maybe we should take the camcorder, tape our wacky adventure and see if we can air it on our local cable channel at 3am. You'll all get up to see the Wonderful Magical Adventures of Megan & Alison won't you?

DD started sleeping thru the night at 7 weeks, but DS didn't sleep thru until he was after 2yo. I was always up during the middle of the night with him. I remember being appalled at the commercials for 900 number ladies...when I told DH about how sleezy they were, well no problem with him getting up with the baby in the middle of the night after that!

Evening all!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was interesting to say the least. The girls won their soccer game yesterday and I was really proud of them. They have moved up a few divisions from last year and we have a newer team than last year also because we added quite a few new girls and they are doing really well so real proud of them!!

Then we came home and dh just HAPPENED to mention AGAIN that although he was NOT helping with the car situation next door that he WAS going to go meet the ex up at the Walmart. Apparently he was now going to hire a tow truck to get the car and have them meet him at the walmart and dh still wanted to meet with him to "say hi". Dh is REALLY pissing me off cuz he knows I am not happy about this whole deal and he keeps going behind my back and telling me this at the last minute cuz he KNOWS I don't approve. Well at this point I was like I could give a crap if you want to go see Calvin but I DON'T want you taking the girls. There was NO reason for it!! I mean the girls didn't need to tag along while two adult guys "hung out" and chatted. At first I thought they only wanted to go cuz they were going to grab a bite to eat but we ended up eating FIRST because he didn't call to so late but they STILL went and I was not thrilled about it. And sure enough I had reason. They left at 4:30 and he didn't get home till after 11!!! I was livid. He told me he was going to be gone an hour!!! It turns out they went to this guy's mini storage and he had Shane help him empty it and then they went with him to dinner anyway. It just ticked me off cuz A he lied to me about what they were really doing and B I just didn't think the girls needed to be out that late and around that whole situation cuz I know they were spewing all kinds of stuff about the ex wife and god only knows what else that they didn't need to hear!

So he is on my list needless to say. Anyway this morning I went to mom's and fed their cats and went to the grocery store by myself and then Shelby went to a friend's house. She had a blast but of course ate WAY too much junk so now she has a tummy ache but I am glad she had fun. They are starting to get to that age where they are wanting to do more stuff with their friends so I am glad that they are getting to do that!

Anyway then tomorrow it is BACK to work and things are still prob going to be a bit stressful as I doubt any of the checks have come in quite yet but hopefully at least it won't be AS bad. Mom won't have that project breathing down her neck or an apt hopefully!! We never got to go to lunch at all last week and chat about our trip which we need to get organized. It is less than 2 months before we go and I am SOOO ready!!

Anyway I am off to watch a dvd. Hope everyone has a good evening!!

Morning all! Alison did you have fun talking to yourself last night LOL! That is one thing I do NOT miss about the PNW is the weather. I LOVED all the green but hated what you needed to keep it that way!! That is one of the reasons we only stayed up near Seattle for a year was I couldn't take the constant grey all the time. I know I was only in Vancouver 2 years and maybe I got lucky but to ME it didn't seem NEARLY as bad in Portland as it was up near Seattle. For one thing every bit closer you get to up north it stays darker longer in the winter which I hated. I remember getting up to go to work and it was PITCH black and never did get much more than dusky till about 9 a.m. and stayed that way till 4 when it got black again!!

So I drove to work in the dark and drove home in the dark. And then literally I didn't see the sun for months on end. It didn't necessarily rain but would be grey and overcast for months!

That got really OLD! But in Portland even though it may rain or be cloudy for months on end we would get an hour or two where the clouds would part and the sun would peak through and that would be just enough to cheer you up!

Plus where I worked (my 2nd job) I worked in the Koin bldg but then my 2nd job was over by the trade center right on the river and I worked on the 30th floor and we could see Mt. Hood on a clear day. Plus willamette river. It was beautiful! I do miss it sometimes!

Anyway we were supposed to have gotten rain here yesterday but it was just overcast for a bit and never DID rain. Now it is back to the low 80's this week. I will admit I am READY for a cool down!

I am off to work today and then Shelby has piano after school and then I have to coordinate with mom but we are supposed to run over there so the girls can get a hair trim as school pics are wed. So hopefully it all works out cuz tomorrow they have soccer practice so I hope they can cuz they look like ragamuffins right now LOL.

Then this week a lot of the new shows start on tv. I am still bummed that most of the shows I used to watch are gone but there are a few new ones I am anxious to check out one of which is the event tonight and then my one old show that didn't get axed Fringe is back on Thurs so I am excited to see that!! Plus survivor on wed and Amazing Race is back on Sunday so lots of fun stuff on the tube this week!! Yes my life is boring when all I have to look forward to is what is on the telly!

Awesome. Dont you love what comes on in the middle of the night?? Im hungry... my babies wont nap... Kaylee is home sick... my husband is home too.. Sleeping... Of course.. I have been up and rolling since four this morning, do I have a chance to nap?? Negative! But I did throw a might fine temper tantrum earlier.
