I chatted with my lil sis in law today.. I said 1. No Army Boys!! 2. no sneaking out!! She said.. what wrong with army boys??? Ummmmm.. CRAP! She also promised to never sneak out. We shall see how long that lasts when she meets her an Army boy. No. She is a good girl, Im not to worried.

She also said that she was planning on watching the kids for our anniversary. WHAT??? No one has EVER offered to babysit for us before!! I told her she might want to spend some time with the kids before making that offer! The twins might scare her off!

That's so sweet of her to offer. It boggles my mind that no one has offered to watch your rugrats. I would be dying for a chance to snuggle the babies, listen to a good reader and admire those precious little girl things that I never got to buy.

Wow Bernice reading all that stuff about the insurance made me dizzy! EEK! I don't know how you keep it all straight and I agree the whole thing is mind boggling and a mess it seems. I had to go back to my uro last week (the one who misbilled my OLD ins) and it was funny because this man was complaining about his co-pay and them billing medicare and his secondary ins correctly and they had made a comment about how now that they switched to radiological that things were better and I said well actually....and then pointed out how they screwed up and misbilled my last two bills. I don't think she liked me very much but the old man was like YEAH!! It was funny! Now I am just hoping that they do THIS one right! I made sure to ask this time if it was correct in their computer and the gal said they didn't have ANYTHING in there for me and I was like OH BROTHER! They even TOLD me that they had western health down as my ins when I called. SHEESH! So hopefully it is not yet another screw up. But with your constant stuff I can't even imagine. It is like I was commenting to our CPA yesterday that our real estate deals are so complicated now and there is not ONE deal that goes smoothly. It is the same it seems with health care and just everything now a days. NOTHING just runs smoothly and everything is like pulling teeth it seems.

On the car topic it is funny you talk about the suv vs car debate. I had a honda and then got a minivan when the kids were small which was perfect for us but like Megan I never wanted a van cuz I thought it was so "momish" lol. But I had to admit it was VERY practical and it "worked!" But mine was really old and had a TON of miles on it and started breaking down A LOT!!! So finally we got rid of it and I bought a used expedition. I loved it but it also had a lot of miles and although I never had an issues with it that was when gas was 5/a gallon and it was killing us financially and that plus the fact it was approaching 100,000 miles and almost 10 years old I felt I should get rid of it before it broke and I couldn't get rid of it so I bought a camry back in 06. It is a GREAT car but it is SO small. I really miss having an SUV and would love to get another smaller version. Don't need the big expedition anymore but would love a sequoia or something similiar. But my car is paid for and right now that is not in the cards. SOOO we just make due. But IF I could I would love a small suv so that is what I would get if I was in the market.

Yesterday I just went in to work and the cpa came in and he went over the quarterlies that I had done by myself and YAY I did them right! We didn't owe anything so that was a good thing but it felt good to know that I was able to figure it out on my own! Anyway then the girls and I had to run to target because they needed some necessities, socks and undies, and then we met mom for lunch and then came home.

On Sunday night the girls wanted to make smores and we have a gas grill so we made a small fire in our fireplace and let them roast the marshmellows in the fireplace and it was pretty fun so then last night they wanted them again since we have a TON of stuff leftover so I told them to nuke the marshmellows this time cuz I didn't want another fire. So they did and what a mess LOL. They melt really easy and make a huge gooey mess LOL.

Anyway today I am off and we don't have anything on the agenda so we are just doing our housework, laundry and such. And then hopefully tomorrow my cousins should arrive and we should be hearing from my aunt in the next day or so what the plan is. I think we are having a get together possibly thur and I might do something with them on Sat but not sure yet. The girls are supposed to go skating again with their scout troop so not too sure yet.

Anyway that's it for me.

Thanks Kelly! I had a great time with my friends and we laughed so much and it was just fun to be out with them. They have been there for me throughout this whole mess and they told me that I seem a lot happier and am so much more outgoing. They noticed that I lost weight and am trying new clothes. They are proud of me for trying new things and just having fun.

yeah kel. im so glad you responded to my food photo, it is the wine country shrimp from the wine country trattoria lounge. it was giant shrimp atop a corn polenta .. with a creamy white sauce..soo yummy!

Well Starbucks isn't going to lose a bunch of money, but at least my home made version of a frap is fairly decent to stave off the cravings. It's cold and has caffeine, all is good.

Today is my honey's birthday! Its also our 8 year anniversary of when we met. I cant believe its been 8 years! It seems like just yesterday I was at that bar, marveling that he wasnt trying to feel me up while we danced!

I haven't been to Starbucks for some time now. I prefer to get Jamba and am now a Jamba Juice junkie! You know you are a Jamba Juice addict when they say: "Hi Rochelle, the usual?" My co-worker went with me one time and she said: "I'll have what she's having! I never remember what drink she gets but it's tasty!!" Jamba is also a lot cheaper than Starbucks and I think is a healthier breakfast alternative for myself. I don't eat breakfast that often so sometimes I'll just get a small Jamba and it's real filling.

Really? You should try it some time You can get a small one and I believe they could even poor them into tiny kid-sized cups so you can share them with the kidlets. I get the caribbean passion and it's tasty. They also have an aloha pineapple that isn't bad.

The Aloha Pineapple is my favorite! I wish there was a Jamba on my way home. I keep telling DBF we need to look into opening a franchise on our side of town. (we only have one way on the other side of town and it's always packed!)

Just a handful of Jamba's in all of MN, all on the OPPOSITE end of the suburbs of me as a NE burb gal. Thus it's just not going to happen. They don't even have one at Mall of America which is weird considering all they do have to offer.

Imagine being wrapped in a hot wet woolen blanket, soupy air quality but wind that pushes even more yuck slime toward you .

Day started off wet humid but the temp wasn't bad, afternoon hit and ewwwwwww!

As the night goes on it will drop to 80's but increasing to OVER 90% humidity. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I have all the extra fans pushing the cooler air from the living room to the bedroom for Eloy to dialyze. His center doesn't want him using bagged fluid (stingy bast.... grumble grumble) and the unit is too heavy to push with 30+ liters on board, otherwise I would beg him to run out in the living room.

I may just hunt out the air mattress and sleep in the living room tonight.

Dunn Bros is a bit higher quality of a coffee, deeper roast maybe?
They do B1G1 Monday deals every week via email offer, no need to print just show your phone/ touch.

We also have Caribou Coffee nearby, slightly cheaper locally based chain. But I find they are not quite as good as Starbuck's.. except they have a new cooler with dark choc, it's like slurping a really good premium ice cream. drooooooooooooooooool, spluuuuuuuurp, ahhh
They have specials on Mondays like $1 regular brew coffee and $2 iced teas.

Afternoon gals!

Back from my jaunt! Girls and I did about 5 loads of laundry and then ran out to check the mail and grab a sandwhich. We also stopped so shelby could pick up some new maryjane's and katy could get a few cheap tanks for soccer. It gets SO hot during practice and they usually wear t-shirts but if I can find cheapo tanks I get them and we found a bunch for 2 bucks so hey can't pass that up!! LOVE LOVE end of summer clearance sales!!

We have been so lucky with our weather. It was SO hot the past few weeks and we have actually only had low 80's the last few days. Now THAT I can handle!!

I feel bad for anyone having a heat spell. I so hate the heat! Hope you get a break soon from the weather B!

Love the idea of the homemade fraps!! I am a huge frap lover and usually go to McD's to get their new frappe's now. Starbucks are too pricey for my budget. We splurge every so often but you are right they are pretty spendy. I do like jamba but just never seem to make it over there. I think I even have a gift certificate in my stockpile, need to use that!! The girls are forever getting them at school or for various things and I have them all saved up in my purse but it seems they expire before we can use them half the time

My aunt was hoping they could have the get together with the cousins at my parents cuz of the pool but my dad is not up for it. Too many people. Sooo I am not sure what we are going to do now but hopefully we have a nice visit somewhere! We only get to visit with these guys VERY seldom because they live in WA state and very rarely make it down but this is the son of my uncle who just passed and they wanted to come back down to see the mom (my aunt) and also have a little more time to spend with the family.

Anywho I am off to try and rustle up some din din and more old dvds tonight.
