Chatterbox Thread-Cmon in and Jabber! Everyone is Welcome!

OK, after all that talk of chocolate, I am STARVING!
I'm gonna go grab some lunch and get a few things done before the boys get home. (Ummm, but not grocery shopping, I guess.)

Talk to you guys later!

Adios amiga!!! Im still trying to get the twins down for a nap. Doggine them and their no crib selves...

:goodvibes Had to page back to catch up, fun!
Kelly, wish you were going too!! Would love to meet ya in person. Good luck with the new job.

mmmm German candy.. yum. Wasn't there a Simpsons episode where Lisa and Bart run wild after having European style chocolate?
I occasionally buy a bar of imported chocolate, so much better! Godiva makes a really good dark chocolate, though we usually just get our one piece free a month.. "is that all?" YEP! and the clerk rolls her eyes.. curious when they will end that program

I live in a small apartment with three man sized people, sharing one bathroom is not an issue for me.. then again, one doesn't pee - in the shower or anywhere. :rolleyes1 I do need use of a hair dryer, but if it's really sunny (or really rainy) the hat will be in use.. hat hair does not need fluffing.

I have no preference for hotel as long as it is CHEAP or inexpensive (depending on your preferred word choice). I plan to have one splurge meal, the rest as counter service/low cost. I looked up menus and veggie suggestions, surprising how many menu changes since I last went to DL. Looking forward to trying out new stuff, lots of vegetarian meals now. YUM

Depending on how I feel, because I really have no idea from day to day. :headache: I may take this trip a tad slower or maybe look into how much it costs to rent an ECV outside of the park (DL is $50 a day! eeek!). :moped:

I tend to run out of steam in the evenings, especially if we had an active day with lots of walking and not much stopping. Though DL is not that bad, walk - sit in a ride - walk - wait in a line- sit in a ride- those mini rest breaks help a lot. :)

hmm, dinner .......off to forage.

Going to my sister's for an early dinner grilling extravaganza. I don't know what she has planned, but we are making veggie kabobs (mmmm grilled mushrooms), made some rice and have tortillas of course.. and some scary looking heirloom tomatoes that taste really good.

I'm sad, I had to pull jeans out of the closet.. boooooooo barely into the 60's today and very gray n gloomy.. but the rain is to hold off until late tonight and into tomorrow. :thumbsup2 I feel bad for the farmers as we had out first frost last week, about 3 weeks too early  Which means this :cold: will follow very soon! Gotta suck up some sunshine while I still can :sunny: C'mon Vitamin D!

DANG! Missed a Hyena partay!

One of my bosses just emailed me back and said I could use his airmiles for me & my friends to go to DL. We have more than enough airmiles for us all. It takes about 25,000 airmiles for a roundtrip and he's got about 200,000. So we should be good to go for all of us to use them.:thumbsup2

PM me your email addresses and I'll email you what flights are available for the 25,000 miles each. Not all flights are available, but it's a pretty good selection and usually offers several choices each day.

Sounds like we might stay at the Carousel in connecting rooms from reading the back posts, but I will also call Best Western and see which property is offering an employee rate during that time and see how much. Then we can make a decision...cheap or closer to DL! Although one time I did get the BW that was real close on employee rates.

Cheap is good, but whatever works is just fine too. :)
Sent you a PM.. email is still the same.

We had a very nice afternoon and evening hanging at my sister's house. They drooled over our grilled veggies, we had just enough to eat .. glad I made some of my fave rice to go with the meal or it wouldn't have been enough. We discovered tortillas warmed on the grill are quite yummy and we roasted some garlic cloves.. ooooo yummmm gotta do that again!
And we slurped some adult drinks :drinking1 Pumpkin Ale (not a beer person, not too shabby) , ameretto coke (our personal fave) , and some weird one shot pre mixed tubes (that were kinda gross).

The clouds cleared up, the sun shined and the wind wasn't too bad.
Hopefully we will have at least one more weekend of warm and sun to enjoy.

Hey, I just noticed there is now a Jazz Kitchen dinner option on the first page of the DIVA thread. I know Megan mentioned wanting to eat @ Jazz Kitchen; I've never been there, and it might be fun to check it out!

Wow, you are kidding! That is so cool of him! I'd like to get him something @ DL (or something from here if he's not a Disney fan) as a thank you. Any ideas?

OK, I was confused by all the room talk. I know Sarah and her mom are staying at the Carousel. Not sure if they would be interested in "moving" or not? (I think Beth is also @ Carousel, probably others as well?) So how many of us are going to try to fit into 2 connecting rooms? Is it six? Or seven with Megan's sister?

Am I the only one worried about the bathroom/shower in the morning? I grew up in a family of six that shared one bathroom. It was torture! :lmao:

On the days I wash my hair, I tend to take awhile.
Now that I think about it, though, that would only be one day... I'll just plan to be the first one up that day.

I'm a take an evening shower, let my hair air dry overnight and then toss it in a pony tail in the morning. So bathroom time is not a problem for me.

Not sure how many we will have in a room, so guess we'd better take a count before we figure out where we are going to stay.

Don't worry about getting my boss anything...he has everything!:rotfl2: He never uses his airmiles, basically he just saves them up for me. I just always as a courtesy ask before I use them, because it seems like the right thing to do.

Sounds like everybody is leaning towards the Carousel Alex. But I though I would check the Best Western employee rate. I've gotten rates as low as $29 a night. The most expensive was $59 in June. So if any of the BW's are offering low employee rates we might decide to stay there instead. Just thought I would offer the option and see what everybody thinks.

Hey, you snuck in when I wasn't looking!

I'm not married to the Carousel by any means. (More worried about the bathroom...) :lmao:

I just wanted to make sure I was understanding who all and where. (ie. is somebody gonna have to sleep on the floor or in the tub... I think Bernice said she'd do that, but I ASSUMED she was kidding!) :rotfl:

You must have really great hair! Mine looks CRAZY if I sleep in it wet! It also looks frizzy if I don't use the iron.

Correct me if wrong but I think it's Alison, Megan, michele and I together and possibly one night with Melissa (Megan's sister) (?).

Sarah and her mom already have a room at Carousel.

Rochelle is a question mark if she will drive in each day or if she plans to stay overnight ( and where / with whom she will be staying).

That makes four, possibly five total (with Melissa) as the "awesome Alison" party.

Guess who must be PMSing.... I cried a bit at the flight thing. thats honking amazing. Thank you. So much!!!

I also dont care where we stay. I dont dry my hair, it gets.... poofy. :rotfl2: Im a wash and go kinda chicka.

The twins keep pulling their mattresses off their beds and jumping on the frames. I think I might throttle them. Just a little though. We actually got Jasmine in a dress today though. Be very impressed ladies. She is the biggest tomboy toddler girl on the planet. If I pull out a dress for her to wear, and SAY its a dress... I hear... NO MOMMY!! No want dress!! PANTS!! So I can lie to her and say its a shirt. SHe puts it on, and then says... Pants mommy. WHere pants? So she either wears pants with her dresses, or strips naked and wears nothing. Ugh. Shes 2!!! Makes my head hurt. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Anyways. She wore the princess dress today. To cute. I love it. Shes worn it for 2 days straight.. slept in it and everything.

(I typed a long winded whine session, decided it didn't need to be said and erased it..)

The weather has changed, :headache::sick: that is all.

:bored:

AHA!!! The terrifying twosome... In the flesh. :lmao:

:rotfl:

Gotta love that stage! A glimpse of the little girl in the tom boy afterall. :goodvibes

I told Rochelle we resurrected the chat thread, hopefully she will pop in.
