Good morning, hyenas!
Filtered sun this morning; the clouds should burn off pretty soon!
Did I mention I was getting up early this morning to register the boys for swim classes? OMG, thank goodness for Starbucks...
DH and I talked last night; I said today was the sign up day for swim classes, at 7 AM. I said I wanted to make sure we could get in the classes this time, and try to get 2 classes per child. So if one of us was awake before 7, he or she could head down to the Y to do the registry; otherwise I'd set the alarm and get up at 7 and rush down there. He agreed.
Last night after I left the DIS I realized he would have no idea what to sign the kids up for, so I went through the paperwork and wrote out a bunch of notes. Try to get the classes at the same time; if they're not at the same time, get consecutive classes. Ask about weekday morning classes. Etc... And I also wrote up 1st Choice, 2nd Choice and 3rd Choice selections.
There, we'll be ready then either way!
He woke a bit as I came to bed, so I told him the notes for the swim class registry were by the bathroom sink. He said, "OK."
Well... I heard him get up before the alarm went off. I thought, "Oh, good, he's up, I'm soooo tired!" He talked with DS4 a bit, told him to go downstairs and play with his brother. He got up and went to the bathroom and puttered around a bit. Then he crawled back into bed...
Then the alarm went off. He shut it off. Then he poked me in the shoulder. "Honey, it's 7." OK...
Then he poked me in the shoulder again. "Honey, the alarm went off." OK, go already...
Then he poked me again... Apparently the
only part that he'd agreed to last night was that
I'd go do the registry at 7. If I'd known that last night, I woudln't have stayed up late writing up all the damn notes!
So I eventually pried my eyelids open (OUCH!), threw some clothes on, washed my face, brushed my teeth, combed my hair and stomped out of the bedroom. I heard him ask, "Do you want me to go get coffee?" OMG, that made me even MORE angry! I snapped, "No!" and stomped downstairs, kissed the kids goodbye and went to do the registry.
I had to fill out 4 forms while there (so all kinds of people came, filled out their 1 sheet and turned it in way before my stack

), but I'm still hoping we get what we want. I won't know until Wednesday. Crossing my fingers!
I stopped by Starbucks on my way home, got a mocha for me, drip coffee for DH, and a cinnamon roll for the boys to split. Ahhhhh, velvety java...
