No, I haven't. I just ate dinner awhile ago and I'm too full. I'll try one tomorrow and see how it tastes. The CM swears by them. She said she bought some for her family and they brought it with them to a baseball game. She said they took one bite and devoured the cupcakes. :lmao:

He seems to be itching a lot less. His hives are now patches of dry flakey skin, and no new red bumps, and the old bumps that were scratched up are now scabbed. I think we're finally getting somewhere!

My friend was telling me that prednisone is sort of the steroid king, that they don't like to use it very often, but that it does wonders. It also can have serious side effects, like liver damage. So hopefully nothing like that to worry about, so far so good. :)

Thank you for asking, I have really been sweating that whole thing!

Sorry, I got booted off. Hopefully the meds won't cause any side effects like you said. :grouphug: On the plus side, that's good that your DS is feeling better.

He seems to be, thank goodness. :)

It's late, and I'd better get to bed. Good night, pixster. :cloud9:

My bf is going to give me a faster PC (he has a lot of parts from his previous computers). I'll TTYL. Goodnight! :cloud9:

GOOD MORNING HYENAS! WHAT IN GOD'S NAME AM I DOING UP AT 5:30AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING YOU ASK?? LET ME TELL YOU!!!

DH & DD are leaving this morning for the races, I wake in time to hear DH say "(Insert "S" word here), that's the smoke detector beeping because the battery is low". Followed by the door shutting and the truck starting up!

Yep, that's right, the loveable man that started buying Disney videos for our baby the week he learned I was pregnant! After 19 years of wedded bliss, his true side comes out!!

After I realized that no amount of pillows over my head was going to block out the sound, I called him on his cell phone and thanked him! He tried to play dumb and say "is something wrong with a smoke detector"? "YEAH DUDE, DON'T PLAY DUMB WITH ME, I HEARD YOU TALKING ABOUT IT WHEN YOU WENT OUT THE DOOR"!!!

Now changing smoke detectors in my house is not always easy. We have 6 smoke detectors, 2 of which are located at the top of 15' high vaulted ceilings! Luckily this was one in the kid's bedroom hallway that is down on a regular height ceiling.

So that my friends is why I am up this early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

I am now.. I was worried about him losing his seniority. We had a LONG talk about it on the way home from Seattle today, and I told him everything I had been thinking and what I was worried about..

Basically, he keeps his lead status, and all seniority. On first, it is a MUCH larger shift then the one he is on now.. I think there are maybe 10-15 guys on 3rd.. Where there are 30-35 on 1st.. Maybe? He isnt sure. But there is the production manager (big boss guy) 2 supervisors.. Both of which Frelan loves... He has worked with one of the guys before, so he knows what to expect there.. The other one Frelan works with every day, so no surprises there.. Then 1 other lead.. and Frelan will be lead.

I dont know, it looks like it is a positive move for him career wise. I see him moving up quickly on this shift, and becoming a supervisor in a few years.. Plus, big boss guy adores him.. He will bend over backwards to help Frelan, and help him move up. So all in all... A positive move. Just scary, we have been in our routine for a long time.. I dont WANT to share my bed!!:lmao: :lmao:

Megan, Megan, Megan....one must put things into perspective. HE STILL HAS A JOB! Plus a big plus, the kids will get to spend more time with him and trust me that is a good thing as they get older.

Where are you reading these??? :rotfl:

I read about AC/DC, Harleys and the like. :confused3

On the Discovery Channel website. I think they must have a big following, they even have a weekly chat with one of the characters. Guess I don't need to stalk them, Discovery Channel has already done it for me.

Cool, my bf and I watch that show sometimes. :thumbsup2 I saw one where one of the captains was helping out on the deck and he threw the hook that is supposed to help reel in the buoy and it accidentally hit him in the nose and he started bleeding.

DH thinks they are wimps and complain about getting hurt all the time. One of the guys sprained his ankle and had to go to the hospital. DH said, I dropped a 30 pound ingot on my foot and finished out the day!

Oh! I just remembered....in Marceline's in DTD, they now sell cupcakes. They have small ones and big ones. I got 4 of them today. I'll post a pic in a second. :wizard:

Thanks Pix! That will really help my & Megan's diet! J/K!! They look yummy!

I took Prednisone after I had an allergic reaction to one of my chemos and a few other times with hives from antibiotics. It does work good! I wouldn't worry about liver damage, I've taken it several times and no problems. I think you have to be on it long-term for something like that to happen.

Wow, slow day on the hyena thread! Hopefully that's because everybody's out having a good time. :thumbsup2

We sent DS7 off to a birthday party for one of his buddies at 11, and took DS4 to "Hot Donald's" for lunch since he was missing his brother a bit. A hambugga-fies cures most things, it seems. The Happy Meal toy is a cheapie little Transformer that looks like it transorms into something... only it doesn't. :confused3 :rotfl:

I dashed off to retrieve DS7 from the party, and got there as the birthday boy was still opening his presents. The partygoers were mostly boys as I'd expected, but one little girl. Weird! The kids were crowded so close around the birthday boy that they were ripping on the gift wrap and pulling ribbon, jostling the poor kid and making him drop cards. The parents asked the kids to step back a couple times, but it only worked for a few minutes.

Then they handed out cool party favors, birthday boy is a baseball nut so a pack of baseball cards and a pack of Bubble Yum! DS7 was in heaven! :thumbsup2

I was all set to bring my boy home when the birthday boy invited him over to his house for some after-party fun. The dad was also going to take his boy to a little league baseball game afterward, and asked if DS wanted to go with them. At first he said no, but the dad whispered to me, "I'll work on him..." :rotfl:

I said unless I heard otherwise I'd pick up DS at 2:30, but as it turns out DH was heading to the store, so he swung by and was going to take DS to the store with him. The parents explained that DS had changed his mind about the game, so they were planning to take him with them. They were really hoping he'd go, apparently, to keep their son entertained, because as much as he loves baseball, he has a tendency to get bored when he's just spectating. (They'd called but somehow we didn't hear the phone ring.)

So he just got home from his Day of Fun a bit ago, with a blue Slurpee in one hand and a big wad of gum in his mouth. He said he had a great time at the game. :lmao:

We're gonna try to grill chicken again tonight; I say "try" because the last two attempts were not successful. The first batch was the grease fire that set the grill on fire last week. The second batch a few nights ago occurred when DH got too distracted with a business call. The chicken itself was OK, but the outside (skin) was burned, and because of that, our picky children wouldn't even try a bite. :sad2:

So let's hope that the third time does the trick! :thumbsup2

Hello Hyenas!

Today is my older sister's birthday. My parents called me this morning and woke me up around 10am. Yes, my bf and I were still sound asleep at that time. :rotfl: We woke up, got dressed and met my family at a local Italian restaraunt. We ate brunch there which came with complimentary lobster thermadore for each of us. The only problem was that it didn't taste too good and we did not taste any lobster, only imitation crab. :confused3

After lunch I dropped my bf at home and then I went to the mall. I went to Macy's and got 2 necklaces (Lucky Brand) and some lotion. It was scorching hot outside so I got some cherry lemonade from hot dog on a stick and then headed home.

I've been playing Diabo II and my bf was playing Oblivion. Hmm...not sure what we will eat for dinner...maybe Fuddrucker's. :)

Hooooo boy. DH just came in and is red-hot. Apparently the POOP has hit the fan with the wacky neighbor! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

She complained about our behavior on the 4th, and he lost it. Totally blew up at her. TOTALLY! Brought up darn near every inappropriate thing she's said to him and said he's had it with her.

WHEW! Dinner's ready, gotta run. ;)

I can't wait to hear the sordid details!popcorn::

Hi Pix!

:3dglasses Hey girls!!!! Alex... WOW! About time, huh?? Dish woman!!

Good evening, ladies. :)

Pixster, it's my mom's birthday too! I called her this morning to wish her a happy birthday. I asked her if she and my dad were doing anything special today, like going out for a celebratory lunch or dinner, but she said no. :confused3

We had planned to get together with the whole family next weekend when my one brother has his kids for the weekend, but that has sort of blown up. He had already planned to go to Eastern Washington and my dad was planning to go with him (they're helping a buddy with moving or building or some manly venture.) So now Mom's big birthday celebration is going to involve just my family and my sister.
