In late November we (myself, DH and DS 12yrs old) will be in Chattanooga for one day. We are definitely doing the aquarium, going to eat lunch nearby, then want to do either the Ducks ride or TN valley train ride.

The Ducks will be within walking distance, we will have to drive to the train ride (we will have a car). Duck ride duration is about 1- 1-1/2 hrs, the train ride is about 15mins more. Train ride is about $10 cheaper (total).

If you have ever done either of these which would be more fun. Will it be too cold to enjoy the Ducks ride? What about if you are prone to motion sickness?

Or, if there is something else we would enjoy more, that would be great too. We have already done Rock City, Ruby Falls and Incline Railway, so don't want to do that. Also, thought about going to the battlefield on Lookout Mt.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

We've done both, and they're both fun in their own ways. The train is really more for train "enthusiasts." The scenery isn't spectacular, but riding a train was pretty fun.

The ducks have more of a guided narration, history of the area, trivia, etc.

For the convenience of walking, I'd choose the ducks unless someone in your family is a train buff. It might be cold, though, in November, you're right. (I've only done it in summer.)
