well I actually managed to log in as a guest but it didn't recognise my normal user name

I'm guessing that things are still not fixed as my user name is not recognised.

I'll try again later, otherwise we'll keep hoping that things are back to normal next week.

if you are logged in the the boards and then login to chat as guest it knows who you are once you get in the chat room
