Chat suspended?

Has anyone seen the chat feature available the last few days? Been trying to chat to have a note added to a waitlist request but haven’t even seen it become available to try. Anyone else?

I don’t even see it listed as unavailable though when you select help/contact? Is that new?

It only shows up when someone is available to chat. You can either just wait for it to show up or refresh until you see it...I don't think it makes a difference which way as it will just show up once a CM can chat.

It can take some patience but I've seen it on and off this afternoon after seeing this post.

last week I used the chat feature from the app on my phone, and it gave me a message that they were busy and would get to me in the queue, and they didn't respond until 5 hours later, which wasn't really helpful for my issue, since their response was to ask a question and then close the chat when I didn't respond to the question.

I used it yesterday to combine reservations when a waitlist came through. It was a bit glitchy and would open the chat window and give a brief message about chat that had a button to click and then it would say thanks for chatting with us. After going through that a couple time I got put into a chat waiting room with a few people ahead of me and after a few minutes I got a cast member. The chat only pops up if there space in the queue so sometimes you have to linger on the site til it pops up.

It was on/available yesterday. I used it. I was number nine with an 18 minute wait. Did some paperwork while I waited. Time was about right. Put in a request with Reese and was done.

In the last 3 months I have never seen chat working.

Worked fine for me on Wednesday, 12/1 [2:00 PM EST]. No wait either.

Like most chat features these days, I assume there are only so many cast members available, so when each one has 1 or 2 members, the button dynamically removes itself until they finish with one member.

Add to the fact that maybe there are less CMs working the chat plus call-ins from burnout…. It probably is gonna be available less often than normal.

I had a Chat with a CM yesterday. No wait and she took care of everything very promptly. I couldn't have been more pleased.
