Well since this was one of our best days, I couldn't wait to get to this point in the TR!!!
What turned out to be a great day didn't start off that way.... First of all, we were running kind of late, so we just did a snack for breakfast. Alan only got a banana, so he wasn't very happy, he gets ill when he's moving on an empty stomach!

The men don't get the importance of wanting to be at rope drop. We head out to the bus stop and had to wait a while for a bus, not too long, but long enough since we were wanting to get there early. I wanted to have a chance at being Family of the Day, but we didn't make it in time for that.
So here's my rude lady story. When we were getting off the bus at Epcot, I was pushing Rachel in the stroller and Hunter was walking beside of me, talking to me and there was this older couple in front of us. Well I was looking at Hunter as I was talking to him and that lady stopped in front of me and the stroller bumped her foot. It was not a hard hit or anything, just a slight bump. As soon as I did it, I said, "oh my goodness, I am so sorry." I figured that would be the end of it, but no.... She turns and looks at me with the most evil look and screamed "WHY DON'T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!!!!!!!!!!!" I said "Geez, lady, I said I was sorry!" Well I went on although it affected my mood for sure. Well, she was still back there running her mouth to her husband saying "the lady up there with the d*mn kid in the stroller...." Well, Alan heard this and got ticked. He went back to her and said "look lady, my wife said she was sorry, you don't need to keep running your mouth and certainly don't bring my kid into it!" Well she just kept on, it was ridiculous!! He then told her she needed to either learn how to walk or get herself a
scooter!

She was an old lady walking with a black umbrella on a super sunny day. I wanted to tell her to stick her umbrella where the sun didn't shine!!

I can laugh about it now, but it really upset me then. I thought, good grief people, this is Disney World!! You are going to get bumped by people/strollers, etc every now and then!!!!!
So after this like I said, it had really affected my mood, but thank goodness, good things were yet to come to make me forget about the old hag!
So we make it thru the turnstiles and start heading to the rope. I turned around and say "Where's Hunter?" He had met up with a CM wanting to trade pins.... We had a talk after that, I told him he had to tell me when he wanted to trade, not to just stop because it would be easy to lose him in the crowd! At this point my nerves were frazzled but we make it up to rope just in time as the characters were coming out....
We were able to make our way up to the very front, and I started to lose my sour mood and soak in the magic. One of the CM's told me he liked my mickey shirt.. I got a little hopeful but then saw they had already picked the family of the day. The kids got to hug the characters, which I didn't get pics of, I was just enjoying the moment with them. So when the rope dropped, I told Dawn, let's go to the character spot first because I knew the lines would be long later. Alan said "we need to go to Soarin or the line will get too long!" I told him if so we would just get a FP. So we all head to the character spot and as we walked in a CM said "congratulations, you are the first family of the day, how many in your party?" I told him there was 7, so we were lucky enough to get this awesome group photo with ALL the characters!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This made our day!!! We were so thrilled to be able to get this pic. What a great magical moment!!!! We really hit the character jackpot this trip!
Then we got to meet with all the characters individually:
So after we had come to the end of the character line and headed toward the exit, we were lucky enough to find this lady standing there!!!
She was a great Belle, so sweet and talked to Rachel and Hunter both for a long time!!! She twirled Rachel around and talked to her for a while and then she asked Hunter what his name was and after he told her she kept calling him "Prince Hunter." It was great!
Up Next:
Our great day continues at Epcot....
