Chase visa gift card with new Disney CC?

I signed up for a Disney visa with Chase a few weeks ago. Got the card in the mail, purchased $500 and paid the bill. Now I'm waiting for the $200 gift card to come. My question is I owe $175 more on my trip. Can I use the card to pay it off and then save the rest for when we get to WDW and use it then or can I not use it to pay off my trip?

If it's a GC and not a statement credit (or rewards dollars), then it can be used to pay for the balance on your trip whenever you get it. You can do it online or by phone and the remaining balance can be used at Disney.

If it comes in the form of rewards dollars, then it will show on your statement as such and you will need to order the Disney Rewards Card with the rewards dollars on it before you can apply it to your vacation balance. This can also be done online or by phone. You can use the Rewards Card balance to pay for things in Disney as well.

If it's a statement credit, Chase will apply the dollar amount to the outstanding balance on your CC.
