Has anyone been able to book an entire trip (airfare, onsite hotel with dining plan, and tickets) using chase ultimate rewards? Between dh and I we have 400000 ultimate rewards points and we know that if we can use for travel they’re worth 1.5. I didn’t know if you have to pay rack rates or if anyone has experience booking discounted packages through them?

You can book hotel, tickets and airfare with CUR. Also know that hotel prices can sometimes be more through CUR; it pays to shop around.

You'll need to price out what you're looking at to know, easiest way is to check Expedia because that's their back end booking. If you want hotel + tickets you'll have to call and get it priced out.

You can do the dining plan as well using your UR points. My aunt just got back from a trip where she booked tix, resort and the DP all with points. She had to go through the the cruise and tours dept for UR and she had to call. They are a TA and can book all aspects of your trip. She did airfare using SWPoints.

ETA: the prices can be discounted but it depends on availability. My aunt went when there was free dining but it was all booked up by the time she decided to go. The TA told her they could have given her free dining also if it had been available.

I read on a credit card forum to just ask for the cruise and tours department when you call and that travel agent can book any posted Disney discount just like any other travel agent. Does anyone have experience with this and getting the reservation number to make ADR and fast pass reservations?

My aunt had cruise and tours book her trip but she managed her ADR's and FP's so I'm not sure if they will do that or not.

I did just this past summer. We flew to Europe, Hong Kong and SE Asia. BUT to max the points, I didn't book the whole trip on UR portal. I transferred some to UA and flew J on Lufthansa, Austrian, Turkish and United and took advantage of the open jaw / free layover rules (they had since dropped that). Then booked hotels thru the UR portal (cheaper than transfer to and book through Hilton / Marriott / SPG). I was also able to use UR points on non-chain hotel which is a big advantage when I'm in small town. I did this summer trip for 3 weeks all on points. :)

One advice : when booking through the portal, always checked with hotels / airlines directly to make sure the booking is valid and went through. Email the hotel and make sure they have your reservations. The portal is basically Expedia and they're notorious for not finalizing the booking. So always checked.

I think I misunderstood your question the first time. I apologize. You need to call Disney wholesale reservations to get a conf # that will work in MDE: 407-939-7671

Piggybacking on this thread - I have been pricing some hotels near Disneyland both through the UR portal and some of the hotels’ websites. I have found that the direct prices for several of them are less $ than listed on the UR portal. Sometimes the difference is enough to negate the perk of 1.5 points and makes it more like 1 point. Has anyone ever called and asked for a price match? Will they do it? Thanks!

No- the price is what is listed- but some folks (myself included) figure it's a better deal to use the points than to pay oop anyway...it's a choice....
