For people without a Chase Freedom card, I highly endorse it. And now, Chase offers $300 Cashback with a New Chase Freedom Credit Card Approval after you Spend $500 total in the first 3 Months.

But I am already a Chase Freedom card member. I joined in 2010 without any promotion. Still, I emailed them telling them I never received an enrollment bonus to see if I can get the current promotion. I was not expecting a positive response, but it never hurts to ask, right? Here was their response ...

Thank you for your inquiry.

With the continual changes and promotional offers for many
credit card products we at Chase will always consider
allowing the newest promotion to be applied to any
qualified accounts that were opened within the previous 90
days of the offer. In reviewing the open date on the
account, I regret to advise that the account is not
qualified to participate in the new enrollment promotion
and therefore we are unable to honor your request.

Although we appreciate your loyalty, we ask that you trust
that this decision is the same for all members whose
accounts do not fall within this designated time frame. We
feel that adhering to the same policy for all members
outside of this designated time frame is the best way to
remain fair and consistent.

You are a valued customer and since we are not able to
enroll your account on the said offer, I have credited
5,000 bonus points to your account. This adjustment will
be reflected on your next statement.

I hope this information is of assistance to you. If you
have any further questions, please reply using the Secure
Message Center.

Thank you,

I then went and cashed in the 5,000 points for a $50 statement credit. Go try it if you too did not get an enrollment bonus or you got a worse enrollment bonus within the last 90 days. Good luck!

Thanks OP I just went and asked. I forget what my card used to be called but I got 5% on gas, groceries and pharmacy all the time, not just certain times of the year, it was great. But then they phased that card out and switched me to the freedom. I could use an extra 50 in my vacation fund. My DH has an account too so if it works for me, I'll be logging on as him and sending the email again. Can't hurt to try. I'll let you know if I'm successful.

I just applied on-line and was instantly approved! Thanks for sharing this information. The $300 cash back will come in handy for this year's vacation!

Sure, no problem. Yeah, the point of this thread was two-fold. For those without the card to get this great deal, and for those with the card to get something if they joined without an enrollment bonus.

thank you so much, when we were discussing this some time back I signed up for the $100 bonus that someone posted, and it wasn't 30 minutes later someone posted a $200 bonus, I immediately messaged Chase thru my account, I already have a DisneyVisa with them, and told them about finding this better deal, they messaged me back that same day and told me to let them know as soon as I receive the $100 bonus and that they will credit me the other $100, now I'll just go ahead and ask for an extra $200 and show them this link :)

Thanks for the heads up - we were recently approved for this card and I've inquired about being upgraded from the $200 bonus to the $300 bonus. We'll see what happens.

Well I got an email back saying I didn't qualify for the promtion, no free $50 bucks for me. Oh well OP it was worth a try:sad1:

I wonder what the chances are of getting this if you have a Chase Disney Rewards card as well? I am thinking of switching, it sounds like a better deal. I decided against upgrading the Disney card because I just can't get used to paying a fee.

I have the Disney Rewards card, plus I currently have a balance on it. I was approved almost instantly. It doesn't hurt to try. Good luck.

I just read you original post.....am I reading that right, 90 days or sooner prior to the original date the offer was posted I would have had to open my account....
a lil' confused but what they may have meant because it takes about that, 3 months $500 spent, to aquire the offer, I wonder if I should go ahead and email now about the $300 link instead of waiting for my 3month period to be up??!!?!?

I'd email them, asking for the difference between $300 and the enrollment bonus you received.

just emailed them, see I had already emailed them once asking for the $200 bonus because I had literally 10 minutes prior to finding that one signed up for the $100 bonus offer, they were very nice and said that I could get the $200, I just now let them know I'd like the $300 and mentioned the 90 prior thing mentioned in OP's reply :) fingers crossed! I need every extra dime I can get since we are going during Thanksgiving week this time it is so much more expensive!

I love the CHASE card too. I got one for DH and me - 300.00 incentive on each. I plan to use this 600 for my own version of free dining at disney. Couple that with opening 2 SW visa cards last year - we have enough for my family of 3 to fly back and forth to MCO for 3 summers just b/c of incentive SW visa points.

I find the deals with credit cards to be amazing. Obviously I pay them in full each month otherwise that would not be a very good deal!!! :)

I signed up for the Chase Freedom a few months ago and got the $200. I sent a message with link about the $300 offer to see what they say.

This always happens to me. I signed up for the Disney Visa a few years ago and never got anything, not even a measely $25 Disney Dollar credit. I opened the Southwest card last year and got 25,000 points and a month later it was 50,000 points for opening:headache:

I just sent a message asking for the $300 instead of the $200. Thanks for the information.
