Did anyone else know we could book these yesterday? I got my disney cardholder letter in the mail and it didn't say anything about it... how did they let people know they were able to book early? I wish I had found out sooner, as we would have called early yesterday rather than fighting the crowds today.

Although I am still happy. We got Wine View Lounge for the Party for the senses on Oct 19. We wanted reserved and Oct 12, but you gotta take what you can get. Can't wait to hear about the wine view lounge reviews once people start going in Oct. It is my b-day present so very excited!

I got the email and booked the Le Cellier lunch and the 3D Disney Dessert Discovery.

Got the email but I get so much that I didn't know... booked a few today though...

We are planning on going Oct 2014 - never been to F&W is there a list of events listed somewhere? I got the email for CC also but didn't pay attention to it since I knew we were not going this year.

I got the email, but with yesterday being my first day back home from a WDW trip, I was very busy. Finally got around to booking today after work; the event I wanted most (Kitchen Memories with Robert Irvine for 11/1) was fully booked. In hindsight, I really didn't want a dinner with wine pairings at 10AM. For $170, I'd prefer it at, say, dinnertime?

Instead, I booked the "French Regional Lunch" at Monsieur Paul, and "Spirits Confidential" for 11/1, and "Taste, Shake & Indulge" for 11/2. I'm actually more pleased with the events I was able to book over the one I missed out on.

I received the email too but before I even noticed it in my Inbox I saw the discussion about it on the F&W sticky thread on the DIS' Disney Restaurants board: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3110971

That thread is a great resource for anyone planning to attend F&W! Moderator "TDC Nala" starts the thread a few months in advance every year and makes it the first sticky thread on the Disney Restaurants board. It is a very active thread so if you subscribe to it you will hear F&W news as soon as it breaks.

Yes - my son also tried calling at noon and the cheese seminar was already booked and this was one day before selling to the public. He had forgotten to call early in the am.

Good luck to everyone calling - don't waste any time if you are thinking of doing one.

The Disney Food Blog is always a good source:

As well the thread mentioned above started by TDC Nala is a great go to for F&W. The first page will have tons of info and links to the events.

You could actually book on the 9th. There was information about it somewhere on a website, because I knew several weeks ago about it. I got an email from somewhere.

I called at noon on the 9th and Cat Cora was already booked :/ But I got a few wine seminars and food demos.

This looked liked so much fun!!! Do you have to get a reservation early to get these? I might try for next year. Can't afford it this year.

AP holders, DVC member could book the seminars and a few other things starting on the 9th but not the dinners and luncheons. Disney VISA card holders could book the dining events (and all the events) beginning the 12th. Then everything was open to everyone on the 13th.

Yeah, DH was on the phone by 7am and didn't get through til 8:45 am and finished the phone call around 9 am on the 13th. Wine view and Reserved you have to be on the phone first thing in the morning, which is why I was pissed I missed the Chase Disney Cardholder being the day before.

Good to know, thanks!

Deb&Bill... aahhhh yes I see where it says select, now. Well maybe they'll do the same thing next year.
