Chase Disney Card and APR

I am so upset that I felt compelled to post this. We have had the Chase Disney Rewards credit card for years and certainly enjoy cashing-in the rewards points. Recently, our statement showed that the interest rate was increasing from 12% to 28%!!!! When I called Chase, they said that is because we opened several credit card accounts last spring. Mind you, we have never been late with a payment. I explained that I recently started a small business and that is why I opened several new "business" accounts. They didn't care. Since the call last week, I have received several letters wanting me to use the convenience checks because of my excellent credit history. I again contacted Chase, and they are holding firm. So I told them to cancel the account and we will pay off the balance. I guess no more rewards points in the future but I will not be held hostage by Chase!

Chase just went through and did it to LOTS of people, it happened to my DH's Chase account which isn't Disney, but still...sucks...the CC companies are out doing this a LOT, it is crazy, but no one stops them. STINKS!
