Charlie and Steph- update

Just to update on this long running saga!! Steph and Charlie moved into their new 2 bed house on the 1st May. A few weeks later the boyfriend stayed there for a few days, social services and police were called by us, and we cut ties with her.
Now I'm very happy to say that she has now seen the light and ditched the posessive, jealous bully boyfriend and is now going out with another bloke who is 12 yrs older than her (maturer the better for her!)he is a primary school teacher early yrs, and unfortunetly he has the same name as the last boyfriend
we are still very guarded with her but hope that it all works out ok for them.we are in touch with social services still.
our relationship with stephanie is still some what strained and will be for a long time although she is trying her best with us.
Charlie stays with us nearly every weekend! which is great!

Jeanette, I am so pleased you are getting to spend time with your precious Grandson. I fully appreciate how frustrating these last few months must have been for you, watching your daughter in this self-destructive relationship but completely powerless to help. Hopefully, she has now seen the light and, dare I say, grown up a bit herself and things are looking up for you all - but most importantly for poor Charlie, who I suspect just needs a bit of stability
