:(

I liked him. Funny guy, great story-teller.

RIP. :(

He was very funny. I remember I loved watching him on Hollywood Squares.

i remember him on a show called lidsville. it was in the pufnstuf era.

The Match Game was fabulous with him.

He was great. I watch him all the time on Match Game. What did he die of? I saw him last year on some show. He just made a short appearance though.

He was great, he directed a lot too, if I remember correctly. RIP:guilty:

It said he died from "complications from pneumonia"...which could have started out as a gazillion different things. His partner said he'd been sick for over a year. :(

The long death just made me feel worse. Poor guy. But, now he's in heaven and the suffering is over.

My thoughts are for his partner.

Everybody remembers him as a quiz show contestant but, in the 1960s, I saw him on Broadway in the musical Skyscraper, with Julie Harris and Peter Marshall, and he was quite wonderful. He was also memorable as the "villain" on the TV version of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. In fact, he was probably the only memorable thing about the show.

And yes, he was quite and accomplished Broadway director, which also gets lost in the shuffle.

Great game show guest, but, he also won a Tony on Broadway(acting) and was nominated for the Tony(directing). His favorite story about his father was that he turned down a chance to work with a cartoonist named Walt Disney and never quit kicking himself for turning it down.

(Supposed to be a Match Game answer card. Thanks Charles for all the afterschool entertainment.)

RIP Hoo Doo :sad1:

He had a long and, from what I can tell, accomplished life. May he RIP. I certainly will always think of him as the guy from Lidsville and Match Game. Nice to see him turn up as Jose Chung in the 90's:thumbsup2
