I've just been reading The Unofficail guide to DLP and my head is spinning from reading the section about getting from the airport to hotel.

We land around midday on a Saturday. Two adults, 1 ten year old and 1 X 18month old. What would you do?

There are 3 options: VEA bus, TGV train, private shuttle (pre-booked taxi).

In my opinion the best option would be to book a private shuttle. It will cost fractionally more than the VEA/TGV but it's far easier and is probably the quickest way to get to Disney.

It costs around 60-70E each way, they'll be waiting in the arrivals lounge with a sign for you and if you tell them the ages of your children, they will make sure they have the correct car seat.

I've used both ezyshuttle and RS Transports. I'd recommend both as would many on here.

RS Transports also do a shared shuttle service. You'll save a few euro's but you might have to share the taxi with another family. Many have reported that they had the taxi to themselves.

I have always used RS Transports. Never had any problems with them and you have the option of having a private taxi or for slightly less money, a shared one with other passengers. I have always booked for the private one and the kids think it's great having a minibus to ourselves.

We went for the first time a few weeks ago and used ezyshuttle. There was 14 off us and the pick up and return were faultless. Will be using them again for sure.

We've always used the VEA. It takes around 45min - 1 hour.
We've always found it fine, the only thing I would say though, now that instead of having a bus at each terminal you have to get a shuttle from your terminal to the one where the bus leaves from, you'll also get dropped off there too and have to walk to your terminal on your way home, so if you're not using Terminal 2F/E then maybe you would prefer to use a private shuttle.

it takes about 30-40 minutes by shuttle service, the VEA is one hour (it picks up at each hotel before heading off to CDG) and the TGV train is 10 minutes.

I'm going to break from the crowd and say TGV. I did it with a sleeping 2 year old and it was a piece of cake. It took 9 minutes station to station and then a less than 10 minute walk to SL.

We did this trip last week - station was really easy to find especially as we had landed in terminal 2b - we just followed the train signs - we bought our tickets from the ticket office at the station - was around €31 for one adult and 2 children under 10 - I had prebooked our return journey and it was £31.50 for the three of us. Prices depend on the time of day but if you look at the Rail Europe site you can check out how much it will be. The stations you need to put in are Paris CDG and Marne-Le-Vallee. You just need to watch out on the big boards at the station and it will tell you which platform to go to for your train this only comes up about 10 mins before your journey - you need to check for the train number which is on your ticket as the destination will not really help!

I thought it was simple enough and I never take public transportation at home so I have very little experience with this sort of thing and I don't speak a word of French. The TGV is in terminal 2 between 2D and 2F. You can buy your tickets in advance or right at the station which is what I did and I believe it was in the 15-18 Euro range one way. Once you have your tickets in hand you just watch the monitors and they will tell you which platform. Once we were on the train we didn't even attempt to find a seat we just stood in the vestibule area (not sure if that is proper train vernacular, I mean the area at the top of the stairs sort of between the cars) and 9 minutes (I timed it) we were there. Once at the Disneyland station (first stop) you head through the Village taking a left at the end past Cafe Mickey and the SL is on your left beyond HNY.

May i ask if any of you have flown from Luton as that is the airport i am looking to go from with easyjet. If so is there a car park by the terminals as i have never been there before and don't fancy parking away from the airport if i can help it.

I fly from Luton to CDG - there are loads of onsite and offsite carparks, google Luton airport car parking and take your pick . Book early to get the best discounts generally.

Hi, yes i did just that, just after i posted. Parking seems quite cheap £35 for 4 nights but then something suddenly dawned on me.

What if Jan is like last year and covered in snow..? Thinking of going 15th or 16th of Jan. It could turn into a nightmare couldn't it?, and what if flights are cancelled and say i can't get to disney, can i get a full refund or take the holiday again at a different date. Anyone know?.

Afer deciding to go with the transfers I've just tried to book online . After entering my details I was then informed that I would have to pay 'night charges' Any idea how much they are? I've sent an e-mail but wondered if any of you knew?

I've just heard back and they are saying that there is no night charge for my flight times BUT the price they quoted me is almost 40 euro above what the web-site is quoting . I wrote and asked them about the difference in price to be told that it was because I wasn't booking online?!

So, the system won't let me book online because our flight is past a certain time and if I book via e-mail (which they don't consider 'online') they want an extra 30-odd Euros.

Have I lost my mind? I'm so confused. I reckon they are trying to pull a fast one...

Any suggestions?

Answering my own question...I've found a few online reviews and all of them have been terrible.

Anyway, we've now decided to go via TGV and have booked the tickets, paying considerably less than the private shuttle companies were asking.
