Charging to room key?

Can you charge your meal + tax/tip to your room key if you aren't on the DDP? I know you have to have a credit card tied to the key at the resort to charge anything to the room key, but wasn't sure if dining was included.

YES! You can charged just about anything to the room.

There are even some little food stands that will let you use the charge. You can even charge your MM ice cream.

You can charge dining to your room key at the Disney resort and park restaurants. However, you cannot charge dining at some of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants to the room key (oddly, at the Swan, you can charge stuff to the room key at the gift shop, but you can't at Palio).

Basically if there is anything that is not accepted on the dining plan and you use your room key to pay it will get charged to your room which will in turn get charged to your credit card. BE SURE to check ALL your receipts because they do make mistakes and guest services will be more than happy to fix it for you.
