Charging to room/gift cards/mobile ordering

Just reading the mobile ordering thread, and saw you can't use gift cards to order.

So that leads to a question for me.

Can you charge to the room for mobile ordering? (Staying on site)

And then you can use said gift cards to pay your room charge bill, correct?

I asked my travel agent if we would be able to use hotel key card for mobile ordering or somehow be able to use the mobile ordering while charging it tot he room, and she said no. Its a separate app and you need to plug in a credit/debit card. From what I understand, that means no gift cards as well for mobile ordering.

I don't know about using gift cards to pay for the hotel.

You can use gift cards to pay for the hotel. As 2 Pinks said, can't charge to room for Mobile Ordering unfortunately.

Follow up question (as I'm used to DW ways) - skipping mobile ordering, can we charge our meals (QS or TS) to our room and then pay the charges bill with our gift card?

Yes, according to the Disney parks moms panel (Link)

You can also just pay at the restaurant with your gift card. We did it at Napa Rose.
