Charging to our room?

Hi we will be staying at SSR next year, I like the idea of being able to charge purchases to the room and not have to carry loads of cash around but......

Can I charge something to the room and settle the bill later in cash?

We don't own a credit card and so will use our friends card ( don't worry he's coming with us) but don't want a situation where it all gets automatically taken and we have to settle with him.

We do have Debit cards but will only have £100 in my account and wouldn't want to go overdrawn if they automatically take it.


Can anyone help?

You can settle up with cash. When you are due to check out mouse keeping deliver a list of all purchases charged to your card for you to check. You can pay cash at any time I believe.
You won't automatically have the charges taken off the credit card until you check out or until you each a certain limit. ( I can't remember what it is for a deluxe resort but I think it's a couple of thousand $).

Brilliant I thought it would be an option and it will be so much easier just to use our magic bands and not have to worry about carrying so much cash

We dont have a credit card so we put 200 on our room to charge, if we dont soend it we get it back

I believe you can settle it with cash or gift cards on check out.

If you set up room charging you can pay it off at any time by going to the front desk conceige and asking for a copy and then paying it off. They take cash, cards, travellers checks and gift cards.

If it is not settled the charge will run on the card overnight on your last night. The once that has run any additional charges will run the next night. So the best time to settle your bill is on the way back to your room on the last night.

We charged a couple of things to the room and paid them off cash when back in resort. Easy..

You can pay off part or all of you bill at any time. They automatically charge to your credit card when you reach about $1,500, and then reset your account to $0.

We made a couple of payments on account during our last trip with cash and a prepaid charge card. You can also put money onto your account on arrival so you have a credit before you start charging. They will also provide a full invoice at any point if you ask so you can see each individual transaction.

The cashiers at SSR are very helpful so you won't have any problems.

We always go the night before check out and pay the bill usually with our fairfx card or cash, the bill will be put on the door with a zero balance overnight.

What time do they run charges we are at MK most of the day then MNSSHP and might not get back until 1am is that to late to pay off?

I'm not sure to be honest, you could ask on check in but to be honest I wouldnt risk it and get it paid before 12am, you could settle the bill and pay cash at MK.
