We've never opted to take advantage of this service at the UO resorts before. Cruising has gotten us liking the idea of a cashless system. :teeth: I'm assuming the number of things that can't be charged to your room key is shorter than what can. Can someone share the things that can't be charged? Thanks :)

I'm trying to think of what I couldnt charge to my key and nothing is coming to mind! Maybe some kiosk things? I paid for my waters but I did by a cute pocketbook at a kiosk in Universal by La Bamba and I believe I charged that too! The best best best is to buy things and just send it to the room! Gotta love that.

There may be a few small kiosks. I have encountered the system to be "down" at certain locations and unable to charge the room.

I cannot think of anything. I charged everything to the room. I would be interested to know what was not able to be charged. Can you room charge the restaurants in the parks? Just realized that I never tried that.

I charged everything on the room key. It was very conveinient. I think the carts dont take it, but I didnt ask. All restaurants in the parks and citywalk took it. I esp. like at the end of the week I got a print-out of all my expenses. I know exactly what I spent and where. No credit card surprises later!

Thanks all for the info. I looks like we'll be fine in the parks. Can we also put our meals @ Palm, Emeril's, & TC on our room key? Thanks again :)

All restaurants at CW, On Site Hotels, and either Park can be charged to your room. :)

I was not turned down for a room charge any time, any where during the 6 nights/5 days we were there (just got back early this morning). As a matter of fact, I didn't even take my wallet with me to the parks or Citywalk - just my room key and DL. It was great not having to worry about the "thugs' pick-pocketing me or the "gangstas" holding me up for petty cash and change LOL! Just hang on to your receipts and double check your bill (anyone can make a mistake) and you'll absolutely love charge system. You'll REALLY love the room delivery of items purchased if you're stayong on-site so you won't have to lug the stuff around and stuff it in lockers at certain rides.

Did you use your room key at the little stands in the parks?

Actually we did not - so I am not sure about the small stands. We bought the refillable cups and got the free refills and ate in the restaurants. Someone else will have answer that question. Sorry!

Does the total of your room charges count towards Loewsfirst points, or are the points just for each nights stay?

I was told that if there is a cash register at the stand, you can use your room key. Can't completely verify that because we usually go into the stores to buy our drinks from the little fridges they have in each one, or the larger stands, so that we can utilize our AP discount.

DonnaLeah - the Loews points are earned for the # of nights you stay or the number of visits you make. No tie in to the final bill.

Thanks, Goofy. That is kind of what I thought!!! :sad2:
