My 8 year old DD saved up her $ and bought herself an ipod touch 32gb two weeks ago. Is there any other way to charge it other than syncing it to the computer? We have one of the Griffin wall chargers but it doesn't work with the itouch apparently and neither does our ipod stereo thing (same ones they have in the YC/BC rooms) even though the ipod touch fits in it and plays music on the stereo. We're going to WDW in July and she'll have a fully charged battery going down, but it'll be a long plane ride home if I have no way to charge it while on vacation (we don't have a laptop). Just wanted to see if anyone knew of some other way to charge it. Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

You can buy chargers that plug directly into the wall socket. I'm not sure where you would get one as I am in the UK but they sell them in quite a few electronics type stores over here as well as in the apple store.

We have wall chargers and iHomes. All work on my son's touch and the three different variations of ipods we have.

Look for a USB wall charger they are wonderful little things and cost about $4 on amazon my dds 4th gen won't charge on our speaker device either but we got it a few years ago my 2nd and 3rd gen itouch will charge there though

We have a USB wall charger and one that plugs directly into the wall. They both work.

I guess I'm confused as to why the OP's wall charger doesn't work.

We have wall chargers. It should charge in the ihomes and the wall charger you have.

If your chargers or docking radios etc are older they may not be compatible with the latest generation. I've had it happen too. No way around it other than upgrading them.

Wondering if that could be the case as the Griffin wall charger I have I purchased with my 2nd generation ipod nano 4-5 years ago? Same with the ihome speaker dock. I think I'll head to Best Buy this week and pick up a new wall charger. Thanks so much for the feedback! :)

We just use our cell phone chargers. Just take out the cell USB and plug in the iPod usb
