charges to room with multiple families

If we are staying in a villa with multiple families (2)...can certain room cards charges be paid by one family and the other cards by the other??

In other words, if we know cards #1, 2 and 3 belong to family A, and cards #4, 5 and 6 belong to family B....how difficult is it to have Disney (or will they even) break out the charges so each family can pay for their own purchases?

The charges are all pooled to the room so there is no way for them to split it so that different cards are automatically charged. When you get the statement it will say which card charged what. I shared a room with a friend once and we were told that if we went to the desk they could print out the statement where it was sorted by card (the regular statement is in chronological order) and then we could each go to the desk and say "charge $XXX to this card and $XXX to that card." We didn't end up doing that only b/c it was just a long weekend trip and we didn't have many charges anyway so it was easy to do ourselves.

Disney can't place multiple credit cards on a single room, only one. So, you'll either have to place one card down and possibly have a credit go to the first card down. If the charges exceed a certain amount (usually $1500 at HAH) they will automatically charge the card on file. You can request a printout and then add up the charges yourself and then request the other family to place that amount on their card. Personally, I'd only allow charging privlidges to the family that places down their card and get all other room cards, non-charging. Have them use their credit card in the parks, it's really only one more card to bring.
