I was wondering if you can have different set limits on different cards for the same room? We are giving my daughter a certain amount of $$ for souviners and I was thinking it would be safer for her to charge those on her card than to carry the cash around with her. I want her to be able to pay for it and not us. She is earning this $$ by doing extra chores.
anyone know the answer to this?

Thanks,
Sharon

No, I'm almost positive they can't do this for you. You can only have one credit card per room and each card will either have charging priviledges or it won't (your choice). Each card will be identified separately on the summary that you get at check in, though, so you can see who charged what. You can get those prinouts during your stay if you like.

An alternative is to call your credit card company or bank and see if they offer what I call "pre-loaded" cards. You could order one of those with a fixed dollar amount for your daughter. It's kind of like a gift card in concept. Once you reach the limit, the card won't work anymore. Lots of people use those to pay for things they buy over the internet. It's safer than using a "regular" credit card.

Enjoy your trip!

My sister and I got the prepaid visa cards for our December vacation. My mother purchased them for us. What a disaster! Read every line of the contract or paperwork etc. There were charges on our cards (only for $1 each) charged while we were in the air flying to Disney and when we used them to purchase our park passes and tried to charge the $200 on each, they were declined and we had to call the 800 number and took almost 24 hours to fix. Luckily the manager gave us our park passes and we were allowed to use them before payment was completely fixed. The person at the 800 number was not too helpful.

Just a word of caution.

On a previous trip, DD and I stayed at CS. My room key had a $3000.00 limit. DD's room key had a $300.00 limit. DD was 13 at the time and I thought that $300.00 was plenty for her needs.
