Charges for Local Phone calls?????

Does anyone know if the WDW resorts charge for local phone calls and if so, how much are local calls? Thanks in advance!!

I believe the charge is .75 per call (unless it has changed since last summer).

Just a bit of info If you are going to make a toll free call like an 800# dont use the phone in your room. When I tried calling my parents toll-free number I had to use one specific pay phone in the resort center. Even the payphones around the resort couldnt be used for free. Was insane to not be able to make a toll-free call I thought.

You're sooooooo right about the 800 numbers..... I thought I was safe bringing phone cards with me....since the access numbers were all 1- 800 numbers.... WRONG!!! I was charged for every access call I made as a local call from the room. Your best bet is to go directly to the lobby and use the pay phone...

yup... 75cents is still the charge.

I had a ton of charges as I brought my lap top with me to keep in touch with work and to post my nightly trip report.

When checking into Old Key West last weekend, they wanted to make absolutely sure I knew that I would be charged 75 cents for any call I made from the room (except for within the resort or to the Disney operator to call another resort). They made me sign something to prove they'd told me, even though I said I had a cellphone.
