I'm wondering if I should wait till after the cruise to figure out the mess I made!! We had originally booked a week long cruise, paid the depost of $1000.00 for the 4 of us. then paid in full the balance. Then changed it to a 3 day. I received a bunch of credits and basically have been charged only 537.00 for the cruise, and that include transfers. Though my paperwork shows I have paid $1980.00? I'm 74 days out, should I should have paid in full right? Should I wait till it gets closer to try to figure it out. Or even after the cruise and see what happens. Or should I shut my mouth and say thank you, but I don't think I could do that, were not talking a few dollars!!!

What were the total in credits they gave you? You might want to check and see if the did credit you and then charged you for the difference on the shorter cruise.

they first charged me $1,000.00 for the deposit

Then $3841.40 for the cruise
TOTAL: $4,841.40
Then credited me:
2263.00
800.00
200.00
TOTAL: $3263.00

Balance Charged: $1,578.40?

OOPS!!! Math and logic were never my strong point!!!

Okay, so they charged me $1578.40 for a cruise costing per their paperwork $1980.40, so still short $402.00?

ClarabelleCow - I think DCL must have sent you some pixie dust. Can't advise you what to do in this situation. Enjoy your cruise. - Mike

I would think that Mickey is better at math than you and I would just keep my mouth shut...But that is me.

I don't try to cheat someone or a company out of money but if they goof...

Ahhhh I don't know what I would do...I would like to think I could keep my mouth shut but I'm not sure...

THIS DID NOT HELP, DID IT????? I think not.

There could have been a price decrease in your category.

Say thanks and enjoy the cruise!

I personally applaud you!::yes:: ::yes::
If it were me, I would call my TA or DCL and simply enquire if there was a decrease in price on your trip, it is known to happen..

I wouldn't be able to rest until it was resolved.

Make the call. Hopefully the lesser charge is because of a decrease in price. And if not at least you'll get it figured out and not get an unexpected bill after the cruise if DCL's accounting department figures out you were undercharged.

I would be afraid that within 60 days of the cruise, they would somehow realize that you did not pay in full and cancel the cabin, and you would lose your money. Whether it is their error or not, I would not want to risk it. I think you should call and at the very least, ask for some kind of hard copy confirmation that you are paid in full. Maybe I'm just paranoid??!

thanks all, I have the confirmed copy of the confirmation saying that it is paid in full? Maybe another charge will come through with my visa statement, but I have been checking online and nothing? I did try to call Costco, that's who I booked through, but didn't have time to wait on the telephone, hey, maybe it did come down in price?
