Charged for meal if child doesn't eat??

Unfortunately WDW has changed quite a bit with their childrens meals and they are not as good as they used to be. It is actually pretty hard to find the "basic" kids stuff like nuggets, pepperoni pizza, etc. Most of their chicken meals are now grilled chicken, chicken pizza, etc. Our kids are not overly picky, but were not impressed with the selections they had.

This was true a few years ago. It no longer is. They've gone back to typical "kid fare," possibly because of the complaints. It's kind of hard to find a chicken pita pizza on a kids menu anymore. However, I think it's true that all kids menu pizzas are now cheese pizza - no pepperoni. Chicken nuggets are everywhere (but the kids nuggets, while they are now breaded nuggets, are different from the adult nuggets)

I was at Hollywood and Vine a couple years ago with a friend. Her son did not feel well, and didn't eat, and we were not charged. So it's really up to the individual restaurant and server.

Not really. Buffets will charge all folks who walk thru the door. whether you eat or not. (for the most part. This is the dis so of course some one is going to say they were the exception. :lmao:)

I just checked again (to see if it has really changed in the last year or two) and I still see about the same offerings as before. Kids meals are grilled chicken, I do see they stopped doing the chicken pizza and are only cheese now. I have been there since they did the Pita bread pizza. I checked Le Cellier, Tutto Italia and Rose and Crown and still don't see "typical fare" for kids. Yes, one had hot dog and the cheese pizzas, but not nuggest, plain mac and cheese, etc. Seems you might get one or two typical, but they are trying to fancy it up..most of the restaurants with mac and cheese make it a "meaty mac and cheese" with turkey meat and marinara sauce, etc.

Now, maybe we are talking differently because of TS vs CS. I agree, you can definitely get more kids fare at a CS than you can at the TS restaurants.

I'm just saying what I experinced when I went. So it does happen sometimes. I wouldn't expect it, and we were fully prepared to pay for his meal, but we weren't charged.
