We drink ALOT of soda, and I know we are going to want our own personal "stash" for our cabin.

Has anyone brought a cooler on board with them? If so were you able to check it with your luggage?

If not a cooler how did you get enough soda and water (and possibly some wine too ;) ) with you so you could have it when you wanted it in your cabin?

Soda is free. There are fountain machines on deck nine and this is unlimited so I wouldn't worry about the cooler.

No beverages in checked luggage. You are free to bring it in a carryon. However, no coolers (little softsided coolers work, but big hard sided coolers are a no no. I'm not sure where the line is).

If you want a lot of soda, I'd bring it on board. The deck 9 beverage station is not convienient from most of the rooms (it isn't like running to the fridge at home). You could also bring a few bottles and fill them and keep them in your room cooler.

For our recent 14 night cruise we purchased those bubba keg mugs for sail at walmart. They worked great for bringing soda back to the room. The ice..yes the ice..stays whole for almost 12 hours so it doesn't water down the pop. They just lowered the price on the mugs at our walmart here. Along with the mugs I picked up some of those disposable dishwashing clothes..the ones with soap already in them to wash the mugs after each use. Worked great.

We do put drinks in our luggage, this time we had two cases of bottled water. We have never had a problem bringing water on in our luggage. We also put our rolling/soft side/collapsable cooler in the luggage..it works great in the room, and the room steward keeps it filled with ice.

We were mid ship, and we had no problem going back and forth to the soda station on deck 9. It really only takes a couple of minutes.

Thanks everyone. You have been soooo much help the past few days. I really appreciate it.
