Hi,
I am looking to change our August reservation at Saratoga Springs to the OKW resort, basically think the two doubles would be better than a sofa bed (I know, should have thought of that before :confused3. We are also extending our stay by 3 days, so the holiday is nearly £300 more. I have just called Disney and they are happy to change the booking with no amendment fee (as such), they wont match the price on Disney UK because when we booked the tickets were not "get 14 days for the price of a 7", so we would have tp pay the £44 extra (not a massive amount I know, but annoying all the same).

Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar situation and managed to get the "penalty" waived?

Thanks for any help, Michael

I did get rebooked with a new offer(The 7 day ticket for 14 and Free DDP) however it had to be done by a supervisor. They had to cancel and rebook so it was a new booking as the computer system does not allow offers to be added to existing bookings. They transferred my deposit to the new booking and I didn't get charged any admin fees. However they don't have to do this, so it is just luck in getting the right person who is willing to do it. I would call back and ask to speak to a supervisor as the people who take bookings on the phone can't do it or authorize it.

Thanks for the reply wideeyes. I think I am probably better just paying the £44 extra as I am getting more than that back in cashback via quidco, if they change the booking reference I will lose that. Guess I should have made my mind up properly the first time and stuck to it :rolleyes1

Hi Michael.
Last year we changed from 14 nights for the price of 10 at Pop to 14 nights at SSR. First I was told I'd pay an amendment charge, then that I would'nt be charged as there was a price increase. After a lengthy wait, I was told I had to cancel & rebook & would have to pay £25 per person (£75). I was happy to do this as I was getting free dining, so it actually cost less than it would have been to stay at Pop & add DDP. I also had to pay extra for the tickets as the 14 nights for 7 had ended.
We left the sofa bed made up last year. Would proberly prefer 2 beds but still chose SSR this year as we don't hire a car, but can walk into DD for more dining options.
