Hi guys,
Its been about 3 years since i last ventured to Paris but i am seriously considering it for DS 7th birthday, he is a disney nut and obviously so am I:lmao: So I want to try and make it as special for him as possible. Please could you tell me what character meals are currently on offer with which characters and which you think is going to be the best for him?
he basically loves all the characters so wouldn't be fussy, mickey and minnie would be a bonus. thanks for any info you can give me:goodvibes
Oh yes he is a very good eater and will literally try anything!

There are a few to choose from.

Top of my list (my DD is the same age as your DS) for a birthday character meal would be Cafe Mickey, early evening. You are guaranteed to see Mickey, as well as at least another 4 or 5 characters, maybe even more if you're lucky, and they all rush over to the birthday boy/girls table when the cake comes out, to sing and dance with them. The atmosphere is great, and the food is okay too :goodvibes .

You could also choose from the Lucky Nugget lunch, the Plaza Gardens tea party, and the restaurants in the Disneyland Hotel. All of these have character interaction, and you can order a birthday cake at all of them. There is no guarantee you'll see the main Mouse himself at the Lucky Nugget or the Plaza Gardens (although we did see Minnie and Mickey at the Lucky Nugget). I don't know if Mickey is guaranteed at the Disneyland Hotel character meals.

Cafe Mickey is also open for character meals at breakfast and lunch time.

Hope this helps,

Elaine

I've taken some photos from our Cafe Mickey trip and put them in the Cafe Mickey thread... There's also some pictures of the food... I thought the food was excellent....!!

Hope that'll help!

There is only a character meal at Inventions in DLH not at California Grill. We ate at Inventions for the first time the other week and loved it - there is a fuller report in my trippie (part 7) with photos and on the restaurant review thread. We didnt see Mickey but Minnie was there.
