We didn't do that one without kids but were in WDW for our honeymoon and did a character breakfast. We had so much fun and it was well worth it...enjoy!

We haven't done that one in particular, but before kids we would enjoy meeting the characters and going the character meals. We had a great time and no one complained or looked annoyed. Our advice is to try it and have fun while you are there.

Are you kidding???? Any character meal can be done without kids. That is totally normal, it's what makes WDW so magic. I don't care what people think, if I am a grown adult and I want to go to a character meal without kids I will go ahead and go to that meal. I think people of all ages enjoy the characters and they have a right to go to a character meal if they choose to.

i go to character meals. I have no kids and i will be celebrating my 31st birthday at chef mickeys :earsgirl: i have fun with the characters. go ahead live it up it WDW you can act like a kid it allowed :rotfl:

My sister (38) and I (33) did this character breakfast on our trip in January. It was great...except for the unfortunate incident where I was calling Mickey - Minnie. I didn't understand why she was so agitated and kept pointing to a picture of Mickey for the longest time. Whoops - to my defense, I thought the shirt was rather bright and feminine that he was wearing.
Anyways, go for it! I've never gone with children and have been to at least a half dozen character meals.

Hi,
It is just my husband and I and we have done many character meals over the years. We now do one character meal a trip. We have our last "dinner" in the "world" at Chef Mickey's on every trip. Go and enjoy. The characters will interact with you as much or as little as you want them to.

I definitely think it is okay. Of all the times I have been at character breakfasts' with my parents as a kid I always saw solo adults and couples with no kids at the meals with us. My husband and I have 3 PS ressies for character breakfast meals scheduled for our honeymoon this May, and we had no qualms about making these. Were also going to the AK Donald's Brakfastosaurus and cannot wait to try that one out! Have a blasy at WDW and schedule as many character meals as you would like to go to. No one cares whether or not the diners have kids or not. :) You'll have a blast!

Last November I (28) went to chef mickey's with My mother, sister (15) and sister's best friend. We had a great time!!! Then again... I'm just a big kid myself!!!

I've done this (Breakfastasouras) without kids. My friends and I go to character meals without kids often. But we go for the food. So I may be the odd man out on this one (in a way), everybody seems to want to meet the characters. That's cool, to each his/her own. Your sure to have fun if your out to get some pics and to meet the characters. And if you just wanna eat they know and don't really bother you. Either way, don't fret it. Have fun!

I would go if you want to. We've done Donald's breakfast and I don't think it would be weird, but I will tell you that I wasn't all that impressed with the food. It was ok, but what made it great was the characters. If you are going to go there to meet characters, then this is a great place with a good buffet. If your looking for a fun dining experience with great food, then I'm sure that somewhere else has better food.

MY sis & I go all the time to character meals too. And we are 30 something. BUT Breakfastsaurus last year in august was (i swore) the last one there, we would go to. It was slow, character's where not moving around evenly, or fluidly, just seemed to do the same part of the room over and over again. Many LOUD parents where quiet upset, kids wanting the character's etc... . So they became vocal, and asking to "fix" it now. We where eating in the smaller side room, on the side. The food was ok, but the buffet line was very slow. Our ps. was for late morning, and some items where definately cold.

We had attended this event a couple of years prior as a walk-in and it was great. Maybe it was just too crowded? Or became to popular?

I prefer chef mickey's (fab 5) or crystal Palace (winnie & friends) for breakfast, as a meal. More organized, and better food.

We are doing the exact same thing in July for our honeymoon. I had the same question as you but now I feel like we'll be fine. We'll wear our Mickey/Minnie groom/bride ears so hopefully they will give us a little attention. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

This makes me remember.... back in 1994, we went to Disney with my Inlaws.. who were 60 at the time. My mother in law wanted to go to Chef Mickeys for breakfast.. so we did!
It was funny for four adults (before we had kids) to interact with the Characters. It was our best moment of the week!

It can be done... and should be done!

My DH & I did Donald's Breakfastasaurus on our own and we did not enjoy it at all. We were seated at a lousy, small table in a bad location. Seemed to take forever to get our drinks and we did not like the food choices either. We were actually contemplating finding the manager and letting them know that we were leaving without eating because we were so dissatisfied, but then the characters came around, and turned things around just a bit. It was still a lousy table and lousy food but the characters did make us laugh. I'll go back to other character breakfasts without our kids, but I will NEVER go back to Donald's at AK, with or without kids!

we went to donalds at AK in jan, and had a grand time, not busy at all that time of year so maybe it made a diff too. :confused3 food was wonderful, hot, no line at all. fresh fruit was awesome!
there were a few tables with just adults, and no kids and they were having just as much fun as those of us with kids. (maybe more ;) )

though i do have to say that i had the same problem with mickey looking like a minnie too JEANMR1!! glad it wasn't just me,lol.

Go, go, go! DH and I go to character meals when we go to WDW. My sister and I have gone as well as my sister, mother and myself. I enjoy the meal and a quick hello to the characters. I also really enjoy seeing the kids' reactions to the characters. One year, DH and I were at MK for the show at the Diamond Horseshoe. We invited an elderly couple to sit next to us and the wife told us how they had always wanted to see the show but had not been able to. We ran into them 2 more times on the trip at character meals. They were having a wonderful time.
