We're going in July 2016 and my DGS 5yo is looking for these characters: Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Daisy Duck, anyone from Star Wars, Chip n' Dale, Pete (I've told him I've NEVER seen him in WDW), Donald, the rabbit from Alice. If anyone can tell me where to find these characters (or if I CAN find them at all), in the park or character meals, it would be greatly appreciated. He is Autistic so when he fixates on something he doesn't let go very easily. :worship:

Do you have the official Disneyland app? It includes information about where various characters are likely to be. However, it's worth noting that like anything, character schedules and availability are subject to change without notice.

It's hard to say at this point who will be out and about next July. DLR rarely posts information more than 45-days in advance and even then it changes.

In terms of the characters you've listed, I think will probably find most of them. The White Rabbit hasn't been very common of late and I don't think I've seen Pete in DLR. So you get a sense of where things are, this is what I would recommend if you were going in the next few weeks...
  • Captain Hook and Peter Pan can often be found in FL at various times during the day. Captain Hook is also often (though not always) at Minnie's Breakfast at the Plaza Inn.
  • Daisy Duck is sometimes in Town Square (not often) and can usulaly be found at Surf's Up at the PCH Grill character breakfast (though not always).
  • Donald Duck is often out in Town Square and across from TSMM in DCA.
  • Star Wars characters (Stormtroopers) can occasionally be found in TL and I'd guess Star Wars Launch Bay will be hanging around for a while, so there should be a few Star Wars characters there. There is also supposed to be a new Star Wars theme M&G for Disney Visa Card Members opening soon.
  • Chip & Dale (separately and together) can often be found in Town Square, on Buena Vista Street in DCA, and at some of the character meals (e.g., Storyteller's breakfast).

Thank you both for all this info, its exactly what I wanted. I do understand that they don't show the schedules so far out but just wanted a feel of what can be expected. I'm assuming that the summer since they charge as "Peak Season" that they would go all out. One thing we missed while in WDW was the Jedi Training. Do they do that in DL? Thanks again, its all very helpful.:worship::thanks: You guys are GREAT!!:teeth:

Yes...they do have Jedi Training at DLR at this point (it's currently on hiatus, but will be back on November 20), but like all things, it can change without notice. One thing to note about DLR is that, we don't know what is going to happen with Jedi Training when it returns, but before it went on hiatus, guests didn't sign up for it. The CMs randomly selected kids from the audience to participate, so there was no way to guarantee/know if you're child would be selected. There were some days when they were testing a sign up system (more consistent with how DHS does it), but it's not known if they're going to implement that full time in the future or if it was just a test.
